How to get and use Energy Activators in The First Descendant

Energy Activators are a key resource that you will be able to craft in The First Descendant which will help you increase the maximum Module Capacity Limit of your favorite Descendants and weapons.

However, the shooter is not exactly clear on how you will be able to go about obtaining this resource. Once you go later into endgame grind, unlocking more Module Capacity Limit becomes more and more important.

You will not be able to minmax your Descendant with lower Capacity Limits. Optimizing your overall DPS will get significantly harder.

Here is a guide on everything you need to know about Energy Activators in The First Descendant.

How to craft Energy Activators in The First Descendant

Energy Activators The First Descendant

There are primarily two ways of acquiring Energy Activators in The First Descendant. The most straightforward way will be to purchase it from the store with the use of Caliber. You will need a total of 1200 Caliber for one Energy Activator.

However, for free-to-play players, the alternative will be to craft it by talking to Anais in Albion. Under Research Requests, you will find the recipe for making Energy Activators, so as long as you have the resources you will be able to craft it.

Here is a list of everything you need to make one Energy Activator in The First Descendant:

  • Low-Carbon Activator x55
  • Conductive Metallic Foil x25
  • Heat Plasma Battery x55
  • Polyatomic Ion Particle x72
  • Energy Activator Blueprint x1
  • Gold 750,000
  • 30 hours of research time

To get an abundance of these items you will need to wait till the late game and possibly put the overworld region levels on hard to maximize their drop rate. Additionally, look for the missions that drop these items.

You will be able to track this by opening the map menu and heading to the Access Info tab. Then head to Energy Activators under Enhancement Material and then click on Tracking On.

This will track the materials you need for the item and you can target farm it by completing the missions.

Module Capacity The First Descendant

Module Capacity Limit for your weapons as well as your Descendants is not something that you will have to worry about in the early stages of Nexon’s Shooter. It’s when you reach the end game loop at max Master Rank and start to minmax your loadouts, Module Capacity will start playing a key role on your overall DPS.

To use an Energy Activator you will need to:

  • Go to the Inventory Menu and then select the Descendant Modules option (bottom left)
  • You will see all the modules that you have acquired thus far and the “Details” section on the top right
  • Here you will find the “Module Additional Settings” option. Click on it and then use an Energy Activator to increase the Module Capacity Limit for the character.
  • The method is similar for Weapon Module Capacity as well.

You will be able to increase the Module Capacity of either a Descendant or a weapon of choice with one Energy Activator.

For Descendants the limit increase will be by 20 and for weapons, it will be by 30. Once you use an Energy Activator, the effect is permanent. So make sure you are using the item on the Descendant or the weapon that you want to grind the endgame with.

This is one of the reasons why you should be focusing on Energy Activators in the end game. Unlock all the Descendants, see the one that fits your playstyle the best, and build around them.
