Gold Tree Cores will eventually become one of the more important crafting materials you will unlock as you reach the later stages of Black Myth Wukong. They will be available to you once you reach the tail end of Chapter 4, and they are used to make some of the late-game weapons like the Spikeshaft Staff and the Spider Celestial Staff.
However, the Gold Tree Cores is not something that you will easily come across in the action-adventure. Here is a guide on some of the best ways of obtaining Gold Tree Cores in Black Myth Wukong.
How to farm Gold Tree Cores in Black Myth Wukong

Here are some of the best ways of obtaining Gold Tree Cores in Black Myth Wukong:
1) Obtained as a gift after completing Chapter 3
The first time you will receive a Gold Tree Core is when you have completed Chapter 3 in Black Myth Wukong.
2) Opening rare chests at the end of Chapter 4
Once you reach the end of Chapter 4, you will be able to find a lot of rare wooden chests around the area containing the item. So make sure you are exploring every part of the new region to gain access to the chests.
3) Beating Yaoguai Chiefs in Chapters 4 and 5
Yaoguai Chiefs also have a pretty nice drop rate for some of the rarest resources in Black Myth Wukong like Gold Tree Cores as well as Refined Iron Sand. So much like with the chests, make sure you are searching the region for all optional bosses so that you can maximize your Gold Tree Core farm.

4) Purchasing the resources from Shrine shops
Every Keeper’s Shrine has its own shop that will sell something different. The Gold Tree Cores wil be one of the purchasable items after you reach Chapter 5. You will be able to get them for 900 Will each, however, you will only be able to buy a limited amount of them before the shop resets.
If you have followed these steps, hopefully, you will have enough Gold Tree Cores to make all the late-game staff in Black Myth Wukong.
