Path of Exile 2 imposes a restriction on its available character slots, as of the time of its early access period. With there being only six classes to choose from (with six more planned for the retail launch) players might want to further customize their slots to bring in every possible build for that particular class.

- Boot into Path of Exile 2.
- Head over to the character menu.
- Make your way to the Cosmetics tab.
- Fire up the Shop, and scroll down to Account Features.
- You can now purchase additional character slots from this section.
How much does a character slot cost in Path of Exile 2?

You will have to spend a total of 30 Points per character slot, unless on sale. You will have to purchase these slots using real world money though, as these ‘Points’ cannot be farmed by grinding through the game.
If you have purchased the early access pass, you should have at least 300 Points in stock – which you can spend on these character slots.
How many character slots can you buy in Path of Exile 2?
Path of Exile 2 imposes a cap of up to 24 character slots in its early access period, per account. However, there exists no restrictions on further customizing these 24 slots to your liking.
You can freely respec and re-build each character as many times as you wish, and create fine-tuned builds for each specific scenario.
24 slots is admittedly limited, but you can thankfully delete older character saves if you wish to do so – simply click on the appropriate delete button while you hover your mouse over the character.
