How to save Yamcha from the Saibaman in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero

Dragon Ball Sparking Zero’s What-If scenarios will let you save Yamcha from the Saibaman during his encounter with Vegeta and Nappa. His death scene here has been a long-standing meme in the community, fortunately, Sparking Zero is a lot kinder to him and you will be able to use the what-if feature to change his fate.

So if you are looking to spare Yamcha when the Saiyans invade, then here are a few things you will need to do in the Arena Fighter.

Saving Yamcha in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero

Goku saves Yamcha Sparking Zero

As mentioned, to save Yamcha in Sparking Zero you will need to make use of the what-if scenarios that are available in Episode Battles. These scenarios are triggered after you meet specific conditions in the mission and the first one that you will need to achieve is surviving Raditz’s encounter with Goku.

Raditz is the first encounter in Goku’s story and you will need to beat him with Piccolo and survive the encounter. In the manga and anime, Goku dies after Piccolo blasts him and Raditz with the Special Beam Cannon.

In the what-if scenario, Goku survives and remains on Earth to train with the rest of the defenders. He is not summoned back from King Kai’s planet with a wish so this allows him to be a part of the encounter from the get-go.

Hence, with Goku around you will not only be able to save Yamcha from the Saibaman but the other Z-warriors as well. Gohan and Krillin will not be the only survivors, giving this segment of the story a nice little ending.

When Yamcha gets attacked by the Saibaman, Goku just swats it away, saving him. He then takes on Vegeta and Nappa, defeating them and helping the rest of the Z-warriors survive.

This deviating storyline is something that fans have been asking for from Dragon Ball games for a very long time now, and it’s amazing that Bandai Namco was able to introduce it in Sparking Zer.
