Dealing with waves of enemies in Dynasty Warriors Origins can be made a lot easier with the use of proper weaponry, which the game thankfully offers a great deal of variety in. From Swords to Gauntlets, there are a multitude of weapon types in Dynasty Warriors Origins.
However, unlocking some of these can be a tad bit complicated, with certain in-game progression elements locking them out of reach. A list of known weapon types in Dynasty Warriors Origins, along with instructions on how to unlock them can be found detailed below.
How to unlock all weapons types in Dynasty Warriors Origins

Swords
Swords are unlocked automatically, given that they are your usual starter weapon in Dynasty Warriors Origins. Despite being a starter weapon, the Sword is still quite capable in battle and should serve you well until you obtain newer weapon types.
Spears
This will be your second weapon in the game, unlocked as part of the campaign – past the Battle of Guangyang in Chapter 1. Grab the weapon from the Store, as instructed by the game.
Gauntlets
To unlock the Gauntlet, you will have to deal with Zhou Cang from the Battle of Guangzong, in Chapter 1. Simply eliminating the Officer will let you grab the item and use it to dish out devastating melee attacks.
Wheels
Unlocked during the Suppression of You Province in Chapter 2. You will have to defeat Zhang Ju or Qiliuju to have the weapon drop for you. The Wheels are quite unlike any other weapon in Dynasty Warriors Origins.
Podao
To unlock the Podao, you must deal with any Officers that assault you during the Subjugation of the White Wave Bandits, in Chapter 2. This is a two-handed broadsword that can deal a devastating amount of damage.
Staff
During the Assassination of Dong Zhuo, you will have to storm the castle and enter the southwest chambers. Deal with any Officers in your way and grab the Staff. You will be chased by Lu Bu though, so make sure to deal with him promptly.
Twin Pikes
The Twin Pikes can be obtained after you defeat Zhang Lioa in Chapter 2’s Battle of Hulao Gate. This is also a two handed weapon that excels in dealing with large groups of enemies.
Lance
Complete the Battle of Xu Province during the events of Chapter 3 to obtain the Lance. The Officer to defeat in order to get this weapon can vary depending on your choices, but it is a very good weapon that is worth adding to your arsenal.
Crescent Blade
Defeat Jia Xu during the Rescue of Emperor Xian to obtain this particular Dynasty Warriors Origins weapon. This weapon gets stronger the more you attack with it, and is a great option to have.
Halberd
Clear the main campaign of the game to unlock the Halberd, and head to the Battle of Hulao Gate once more. Clear the battle at the Ultimate Warrior difficulty to have it added to your arsenal.
