How to use Corestones to craft Abilities in Visions of Mana

As you keep progressing through the narrative in Visions of Mana you will eventually start to collect key items known as Corestones which are used to craft new abilities for your characters. However, the system is not something that you will be able to access right away.

You will need to wait till you have reached Chapter 4 and only then will you be able to use your Corestones by talking to the vendor at the Exchange Parlor in Illystana. It’s one of the key gameplay mechanics in the JRPG that you will need to have a firm grasp of to have an easier time in the late-game grind.

Here is a guide on everything you need to know about crafting abilities in Visions of Mana.

Corestone use Visions of Mana

Once you have access to the vendor at the Item Exchange Parlor in Illystana you will be able to use Niccolo Coins to exchange all the Corestones that you have acquired into Ability Seeds.

When you interact with the vendor, pick the “Ability Seed Exchange” and you will then be able to exchange a Corestone for a specific Ability Seed. You will then be able to equip this Ability Seed on a character to either give them a new bonus passive or a completely new skill.

This offers a fair bit of build versatility as you reach the late game. And irrespective of the classes that you are going for, there is a lot of party composition that you will be able to try out with Ability Seeds.

How to get Corestones in Visions of Mana

The best way of obtaining Corestone in Visions of Mana will be as a drop for defeating enemies. Bosses will have a guaranteed drop for Corestone, however, you will only be able to get them once per playthrough.

However, a Boss Corestone will usually provide a unique or rare skill when you turn them into Ability Seeds. So make sure you are prioritizing beating every boss atleast once to get your hands on some of the best abilities for your characters.

Apart from this, there is no guaranteed way of farming Corestones in the game. You will automatically keep acquiring them as you complete main missions and while spending time clearing out Ancient Ruins.

How to get Niccolo Coins in Visions of Mana

Much like Corestones, you will be able to acquire Niccolo Coins by exploring the map and taking down enemies. If you find it on the map, they will have a glowing yellow interaction marker, and you will be able to collect a good bit of them by completing side activities.

Another way of obtaining Niccolo Coins will be to exchange them for Corestones. The rare the Corestone you invest the more coins will you obtain for it.
