Janna Pros and Cons in League of Legends Season 14

Pros:

• Janna’s biggest strength in Riot’s MOBA is the amount of CC and heal that she comes with. When played right she will be able to control certain aspects of a teamfights while keeping her allies alive at the same time.
• Janna has great scaling as well. She starts having a much bigger impact the later a game goes. With so many disengage tools at her disposal, she can nullify enemy engages if they all in on your team.
• Janna is an excellent roaming support. She can often help her ADC push in the lane and then look to make plays in other parts of the map. Her movement speed allows her to roam the map quite effectively and help her jungler set up for a neutral objective take.

Cons:

• It’s pretty hard to blind pick Janna especially if you are playing ranked. She is pretty weak against supports that have a hook or a lot of poke. Picks like Blitzcrank, Brand, and Lux, will make it increasingly more difficult for her to have a good time during the laning phase.
• Janna is incredibly squishy. If she is caught out of position she can be instantly killed by the enemy assassin or carry. While she can disrupt a fight with her Q, it’s one of her hardest skills to master and you will have to time it perfectly.
• Janna is relatively harder to master than most other supports. You will need to be pretty well-versed with her kit if you are looking to have a bigger impact in the game.

How to play Janna: Tips and Tricks for League of Legends Season 14

Early Game:

• As Janna has a relatively weaker early game, your goal will be to help your ADC survive during the laning phase. So just stay relevant in XP, and keep warding around the bot lane to not get caught by a gank.
• If you’re in a winning match-up you can look to poke out the enemy Bot Lane and push them into their tower. This will give you more uptime on securing tower plates and getting early leads.
• Look to roam the map only if your ADC is comfortable farming alone and you have a push going in the lane. Set up some deep wards in the enemy jungle to spot out their pathing.

Mid Game:

• During the Mid Game, you should look to start having a much bigger impact in other areas around the map. Apart from helping your ADC survive through the laning phase, don’t shy away from making cross-map plays.
• Help your jungler set up for neutral objectives. Janna is great at zoning away the enemy frontline, so look to position a bit more aggressively if your team is taking the Herald, Baron, and Dragon.
•  If used right, Janna will be able to help you peel the for your carries. This will make it significantly easier for the rest of your team to prolong a fight. Having an easier time during the skirmish.

Late Game:

• In the Late Game stick to your team for the most part. Help them out when securing towers and objectives, while peeling for your carries. Make good use of Janna’s Monsoon and don’t pull the trigger on it prematurely.
