Looting plantations and warehouses is one of the best ways of earning a lot of resources in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced. From providing upgrade materials for your ship, these locations even provide additional coins, trade goods like Sugar and Wine, as well as treasure maps which will lead you to even more loot.
However, to be able to enter the warehouse itself, you will need a key. Now, there are two ways of getting this key. You can either clear the entire area, which will be filled with a lot of enemies, and you will eventually find the one who has the key, or you can do some investigation and target the NPC who has what you want, loot their corpse, and then access the warehouse without raising the alarm.
How to make warehouse looting easier in AC Black Flag Resynced
For example, one of the very first Warehouses that you will have access to is the one in Nassau. Now you can try and clear the entire area here, but you will not get the key from any of the British officers.
When you approach the warehouse, you will see that there is a captain’s notice stuck to it. This will inform you that the key bearer is further to the south towards the beach. So you can save yourself some time by heading over, taking out the officer, and looting the key from him.
This will let you unlock the warehouse without having to fight 20 other redcoats in the process.
Later on during the “Sugarcane and its Yields” mission, you are made to raid a plantation. Once again, the place is teeming with British Soldiers, and while you can choose to take on every one of them to eventually find the key, a better solution is to listen in on the two officers who are right infront of the warehouse.
Once their conversation ends, you will learn that the key is on an officer who is located a bit further in. So reach the house at the back, and you will notice a group of officers there, with one of them having the key.
Kill him and the group, loot the corpse, and head back to the warehouse to plunder it without raising the alarm.
Or you can always be like me and clear out the entire area even after getting the key, just for the fun of it.
