There are several Followers that you will be able to unlock as you make your way through Metaphor ReFantazio. These NPCs are close allies that you will be able to use as active party members or secondary characters that help you with progression and deal with some of the hardest content in the game.
Like the team members that you recruit in the Persona games, Followers play a similar role in Atlus’ latest JPRG. They are instrumental in unlocking more Archetypes for you, which is something that you will need to focus on unlocking by improving your individual bond with each follower.
Here is a guide that goes over all the Followers in Metaphor ReFantazio, their abilities, how to recruit them, and increase your bond with them.

1) More (Seeker Archetype)
How to unlock:
- You will get More as a Follower automatically by just progressing the narrative.
Bond Requirements:
To keep increasing your bond with More, you will need to meet the following Archetype research requests:

2) Strohl (Warrior Archetype)
How to unlock:
- You will unlock Strohl automatically as a follower by progressing the story in Metaphor ReFantazio.
Bond Requirements:
- You will need to complete “A Noble’s Legacy” which is a request that Strohl gives you at Bond Rank 5. You will need Imagination Rank 3 to complete it.

How to unlock:
- You will unlock Catherina after completing the “A Friend in Need” quest.

- Her bond will increase automatically till you reach a certain point in the store. You will then need Tolerance Rank 5 the unlock the rest.

How to unlock:
- You unlock Neuras after completing the “Providing a Spark” request.
Bond Requirement:
- To increase Neuras’ Bond Rank you will need to offer to find his relics. These are located throughout the various dungeons that you visit. Getting each of them will increase his rank by 1.

- You will need to complete “The Right to Rule” side quest that Bardon gives you at Bod Rank 6. You will, however, need Eloquence Rank 3 for it.

- You will need to progress through the story till you reach Junah in the Village of Pagans. You will then need to complete her “Save the Mourning Snake” quest to unlock her.
Bond requirements:
- Later on, you will need Imagination Rank 4 to increase her bond.

- To increase his bond you will need to complete “A Brother’s Mercy” quests which he gives you at Bond Rank 7. You will need Imagination Rank 5 and Eloquence Rank 5 for it.
