Details around Monster Hunter Wilds‘ free title update 1 are now live, and version 1.01 will be introducing a lot of new content to the RPG, along with new monsters, a Grand Hub, new Event Quests, and more. The first free title update will be going live next month, and there will indeed be a lot in store for the fans of the latest franchise entry.

Monster Hunter Wilds Free Title Update 1 release date

Monster Hunter Wilds’ first free title update will be releasing on April 3, 2025 (PDT)/April 4, 2025 (BST). Title update 1 will be a rather big one, and below we have highlighted all of the major updates to look forward to.
All new monster coming in Monster Hunter Wilds Free Title Update 1
Here is a list of all the monsters that are being added to Monster Hunter Wilds with the first free title update:
1) Mizutsune

Mizutsune will be dropping with the new title update on April 3, 2025 (PDT)/April 4, 2025 (BST). Once the update is live, you will need to be at Hunter Rank 21 or above to be able to unlock this monster.
Once you meet the requirement, talk to Kanya in the Scarlet Forest, and you will be able to get your hands on the mission that will task you to hunt the Mizutsune.
2) HR Zoh Shia

You were able to hunt Zo Shia only once till now, and that was during the story mission. The Guardian is returning in HR, and you will be able to access it as soon as the new title update drops.
However, you will only be able to access the quest after you have reached Hunter Rank 50. A quest will then be available, which will ask you to hunt down this monster.
Zoh Shia will also be available during Wyverns Awakening, so you will be able to add it as an investigation once it appears on the map.
3) Arch-Tempered Rey Dau

AT Rey Dau will come at a later date and will be debuting as an Event Quest on April 29, 2025 (PDT)/April 30, 2025 (BST). The hunt will be a limited-time quest and will only be available till May 20, 2025 (PDT)/May 21, 2025 (BST)
Arch-Tempered monsters are significantly stronger than their tempered variants, and by beating this Rey Dau variant, you will be able to get your hands on its Gamma set.
All Grand Hub details in Monster Hunter Wilds

Monster Hunter Wilds finally gets its own variant of the Gathering Hub, known as the Grand Hub. It will also be made available as soon as the new title update goes live on April 3, 2025 (PDT)/April 4, 2025 (BST).
To unlock the Grand Hub, you will need to be at Hunter Rank 16 or above and then talk to Tetsuzan in Suja.
You will be able to interact with all the other Hunters on the server in the Hub, and even play small minigames with them. Here are some of the key details of the Grand Hub in Monster Hunter Wilds:
1) Barrel Bowling minigame

Barrel Bowling is a new minigame in the franchise where you roll Barrel Bombs into targets. Depending on the score that you get by the end of the game, you will be able to acquire a lot of cooking materials, pendants, and crafting materials that will help you out during your hunts.
You will also receive Barrel Bowling vouchers, which can be obtained by just playing the game or through the Log-in Bonus system.
2) Diva Singing, Squad Information, and more

At night, you will at times find the Diva Singing in offering in the Grand Hub. You will be able to focus on the Diva’s performance when this occurs, so make sure to tune in to the magical song of the Wyverian.
Along with this, the Squad Information counter will also move from the Windward Plains to the Grand Hub, allowing you to manage your squad from there.
The canteen will also be made available. Now you can finally see the Palicos helping out with preparing your meal before a hunt.

Arena Quests in Monster Hunter Wilds Free Title Update 1
Arena Quests will finally be available with the first title update in Monster Hunter Wilds. Here you can compete with all the other hunters for the fastest time. You will be receiving pedants as a reward for the time that you took to complete the quest. Having the fastest time will also provide you with special pendants in the game.
You will be able to start Arena quests by talking to Ricardo at the Arena Quest Counter in the Grand Hub.
The Expedition Record Board, which is located at the entrance of the Grand Hub, will show you the World rankings of the fastest time for each Arena quest.

Along with these, there will be two other quest types that will be available as limited-time events:
1) Challenge Quests
Challenge Quests, like the Arena Quests, will be fought with predetermined equipment. It can be booted up by up to two players.
2) Free Challenge Quests
Free Challenge Quests, on the other hand, have no equipment limits and can be started by four players.
Available player space for both Arena and Challenge quests can be filled up with Support Hunters.
Note: The Arena Quest limited bounties will be available and posted on the Expedition Record Board. So, make sure to check them out daily as they can be a good way to farm Armor Spheres.
Alma appearance change in Monster Hunter Wilds Free Title Update 1

You will now be able to change Alma’s outfit from the appearance menu in your camp. One outfit will be available for free as soon as the update goes live.
Moreover, after completing a certain missions, you will unlock the option to change Alma’s glasses in Monster Hunter Wilds. This, too, can be accessed from the appearance menu in your tent.
Monster Hunter Wilds DLCs
Some of the classic gestures from previous franchise entries will be available for free. The Cosmetic DLC Pack 1 will also be released along with this update, so Premium Deluxe Edition and Cosmetic DLC Pack Holders will be able to access this content right away.
New Event quests in Monster Hunter Wilds Free Title Update 1
New Event Quests will also be going live every now and then after the free title update drops. These missions will let you earn special armor, raise your Hunter Rank quickly, and get your hands on a lot of cooking ingredients, which you can then use in your BBQ Grill.
Seasonal Event: Festival of Accord (Blossomdance)

The Grand Hub will enjoy a new thematic event called the Festival of Accord from April 22, 2025 (PDT)/April 23, 2025 (BST) to May 6, 2025 (PDT)/May 7, 2025 (BST). The festival will be called Blossomdance, and during the event, the appearance of the Grand Hub and the meals will change.
You will also be able to get your hands on limited equipment during this time, along with Pop-up camp decorations, Gestures, and more.
