Nioh 3 is very flexible when it comes to builds, so obviously, you will want to Respec your character ever so often and try out new playstyles. This comes especially handy against some of the hardest encounters that the RPG has to offer, allowing you to have an easier time with progression.
So if you are looking forward to playing around with the different weapon types in Nioh 3, below is everything you need to know about the Respec system.
Can you Respec in Nioh 3?
Yes, Respec is an available option in Nioh 3, and you will be able to use the system for each of the following:
- Character Level
- Kodama Blessings
- Jizo Blessings
- Passive Skills
- Martial Arts/Ninjutsu
Respeccing in the latest title entry is free, and you will be able to make use of the feature while visiting a shrine. However, you will be able to Respec Martial Arts and Ninjutsu at anytime, and you will not have to rely on a Shrine for them.

How to Respec in Nioh 3
When it comes to Respecing Levels, Passive Skills, and Blessings, you will be able to do it through the shrines.
Once you are near a Shrine, press L3 (PS5)/Left Stick (PC Controller)/3 button (PC) while you are viewing your stats to reset them.
This will automatically recall all of the points that you have invested, allowing you to redistribute them again.
For the Martial Arts and Ninjutsu, on the other hand, you can access the character skill option at any time. You do not need a shrine for them.
Once you have accessed the menu, select Acquire Martial Arts/Ninjutsu, and press L3 (PS5)/Left Stick (PC Controller)/3 button (PC) to Respec your skills.
Note: In the Acquire Martial Arts/Ninjutsu section, you will get the option to either Respec all Samurai or Ninja styles, or just respect the current category that is displayed on your screen.
