With the Worlds Part One update officially going live in No Man’s Sky, you will be able to get your hands on the Insect Armor suit as a part of the Liquidators Expedition quest. However, the mission is pretty challenging and you will have to make your way through hives of giant insects in order to obtain the reward.

How to start the Liquidators Expedition in No Man’s Sky
To get the suit, the first thing that you will need to do is to start the Liquidators Expedition mission which is a limited-time event. It will run till September 4, 2024, and you will need to complete the various challenges mentioned in it to get the Insect Armor as a reward.
Expeditions are sort of like tutorial missions that you complete as soon as there is a new major update in No Man’s Sky. These challenges can be fairly difficult to get through, however, these do serve as a guide to help you understand some of the new mechanics that have been added to the update.
To start the expedition you will need to:
- Begin a new save file by heading into the main menu screen and then clicking on the “New Game” tab.
- Here you will get a lot of options, but you will need to click on the “Community Expedition” and start the new content.
- Fortunately, all the rewards that you earn from the Liquidators Expeditions along with the Insect Armor will be shared across all our other profiles and save date.
- Once an expedition starts you will spawn on a random custom-made planet. You will find other players here, however, you will not have access to any of your previously acquired weapons, materials, or even starships.
- You will have to craft all of your equipment as you go along completing the challenges.
All Liquidators Expedition missions and rewards
To check out the list of missions that you need to complete under Liquidators Expedition to get the Insect Armor, you will need to hit the ESC button and then head over to the Expedition tab. Here you will find a list of five phases, each containing its own separate group of challenges.
You will need to complete all of the missions in order, otherwise you will not be able to complete the challenges.

Expeditions in No Man’s Sky are more of a community-wide missions. All the players will have a singular goal of taking out Brood Mothers and once players start hitting the completion requirements every other player on the server will be able to get their hands on the reward.
So if you are having trouble making your way through the content, you can always wait for other players to complete the expedition to help you obtain the Insect Armor suit.
How to obtain the Insect Armor Helmets in No Man’s Sky
There are five different Insect Helmets with different customizations that you will be able to unlock in the First Descendant. However, to get them you will need to actively take part in the Liquidators Expedition and go up against the Brood Mothers.
They have a slight chance of dropping the item, so being able to obtain the headpiece will depend on your luck and RNG.
Fortunately, as you will be facing a lot of different Brood Mothers throughout the Expedition, there is a pretty good chance that you will get the helmet by the end of the expedition.
How to get the Insect Armor Suit in No Man’s Sky
The Insect Armor suit is a part of completing the phases from two to five. Once you have completed them you will then need to claim each of the parts as a reward from the terminal on the Anomaly.
So make your way to the multiplayer hub and then interact with the terminal which is behind the mission board. Redeem the different parts of the suit, and once you have it, each of your saved files will gain access to the Insect Armor set.
