Palworld recently announced a crossover with Terraria which is being appreciated by fans all over the world. Considering the position that the developers found themselves in recently, this is a big move indeed.
The game took the world by storm, and at this point its safe to say that Palworld is a unique hybrid that involves catching monsters, also known as Pals and building bases to survive in the harsh environments.
Nintendo didn’t particularly like this and filed a lawsuit against developers PocketPair for allegedly copying the design of throwing of a Pokeball to catch a Pokemon and using it for a mechanic of their own.
The case is still being heard in court, and the outcome is still unknown. However, the pending case hasn’t fazed the developers at all, and they’re trying to make the most of this time to cater to their fans as much as they can.
Yes at this point, Palworld might not be able to compete with Pokemon as a franchise because of how significant the franchise is, in the world of pop culture. But they’ll still be able to increase their fanbase with respect with this collaboration with Terraria.
That said, fans are absolutely in love with this Terraria crossover, although the official dates or the nature of this crossover hasn’t been announced yet, but there’s already a lot of hype behind it, so hopefully there’s nothing that’s going to go wrong.
Overall, fans are extremely elated to see this crossover come to the game. One player said, “Nintendo is probably making a tantrum rn and loosing their sh*t,” while another said, “now terraria will get sued for being able to catch rabbits with a net.”
With the holiday season soon approaching, it’s likely that the Terraria crossover will have to do something with Christmas. Furthermore, given the enthusiasm Terraria is the first of the many crossovers in line.
