How to easily defeat Articuno in Pokemon Go 5-star Max Battles
The strategy to follow for defeating Articuno in a 5-star Max Battle remains largely unchanged for both duo and solo battles. However, for solo encounters, it is heavily recommended to use a Max Mushroom in order to double your damage output – and make things a lot easier.
Additionally, make sure to have Pokemon within the Power Spots. Having 3 Pokemon in these Power Spots boosts your damage by an additional 18.8%.
Recommended Counters to use for the battle
Try bringing a team with atleast two damage sponges (high defense, HP and resistance) as well as any Gigantamax Attack capable Pokemon to dish out damage. Additionally, make sure to have Level 40+ members in your team.

General strategy
In a nutshell, the general strategy to follow is to lead the battle with a tank that can easily resist all of Articuno’s attacks.
Try to use only Fast Attacks with your tanks, and avoid being hit by incoming projectiles – while simultaneously collecting any Energy Globules in your way.
Finally, swap out to your Gigantamax DPS when your Dynamax Meter is full, and execute the G-Max move thrice in succession. Rinse and repeat the process until the enemy is defeated.
