How to beat Hell Biker in Shin Megami Tensei 5 Vengeance

1) Have demons strong against wind and fire

Setanta, Nekomata, and Jatayu are a great choice for your active party when going up against the Hell Biker. Jatayu absorbs Force, while Stanta and Neko Mata block it. This will completely negate Hell Biker’s first turn where he usually likes to start the encounter with Hell Exhaust.

You can go a step ahead and fuse Force-resistant affinity into the Nahobino. This will help the protagonist have a much easier time in the fight.

2) Carry Fire and Physical Dampeners

Once you are set against Force damage, it’s time to bring some Force and Phy Dampners to the fight. Fire Dampeners can be bought from Gustave, while you will have to beat enemies and scavenge Da’at for Phy.

After gathering Magatsuhi, Hell Biker can either go for Hell Spin, Hell Exhaust, or Hell Burner. So once you see him activating Magatsuhi Critical, it’s best to use one or both of the Dampeners to eat up his press turn.

Hell Biker Bufu weakness

3) Have strong Ice demons along with buffers and debuffers

Hell Biker is weak to Ice, hence you will need to have active party members who with Bufula and good Ice affinity. Additionally, make sure your demons have skills that give buffs to their allies and debuff enemies.

Hell Biker has ways to remove debuffs that are on him as well as canceling all the buffs that you have put on your team. So you will have to constantly keep up on applying -kajas and -ndas throughout the fight.

Best demons for beating Hell Biker in Shin Megami Tensei 5 Vengeance

Best Support:

  • Jatayu
  • Hua Po
  • Dis
  • Tao (Canon of Vengeance)
  • Yoko (Canon of Vengeance)

Jatayu will be one of the best supports for the fight. Apart from absorbing Force, if you are able to build him right, you will be able to get Majakukaja, Masakunda, and Diarama on him.

Good alternatives to Jatayu will be Hua Po and Dis. However, Dis is weak to Physical, and while she comes with all forms of elemental blocks and Me Patra, the demon does come with some risks.

For Canon of Vengeance, you will get access to both Tao and Yoko. They can be good in the support role.

Best Healers:

  • Hariti
  • Dis
  • Tao (Canon of Vengeance)
  • Yoko (Canon of Vengeance)

Hariti and Dis both come with healing spells. So make sure that you are keeping them alive with buffs. For Canonc of vengeance both Yoko and Tao come with strong healing spells.

Debuff Hell Biker

Best Damage:

  • Sukuna-Hikona
  • Nekomata
  • Setanta
  • Forneus
  • Nahobino

For Ice damage, your best options for the fight will be to have Sukuna-Hikona and Forneus on the active roster. They both have good Ice affinity and Sukuna-Hikona also comes with Eternal Blizzard which deals 3-6 weak Ice attacks to random foes. As Hell Biker will be the only enemy, he will be hit with all the attacks.

For Physical DPS, Stanta and Nekomata will be a great choice. They both block force and can deal massive damage with Omagatoki: Critical active.

Depending on the build you are going for, the Nahobino can be a good damage threat for both Ice and Phys attacks.

Once you take down Hell Biker, you will be able to move on to the next Avatar of Death in Atlus‘ RPG.
