STALKER 2 is GSC Game World’s long awaited entry in the franchise, which will see you take on the role of Skif, as you navigate through the treacherous zone.
To help you survive the harsh wastelands, you will have multiple weapons at your disposal, all which you can either loot or buy as you make your way through the game.
You will have access to 35 weapons at launch, across multiple archetypes. So, here’s a list of all the weapons that you will find in STALKER 2.

Handguns/Pistols
Although a handgun doesn’t do much damage as a rifle or a shotgun, switching to your handgun is always better than reloading. It can help you get out of a pinch and can always come in handy if you’re running out of ammo on your primary weapons.

Submachine Guns
Submachine guns may not have the stopping power similar to assault rifles, they have a faster fire rate. This reduces the overall TTK for this weapon archetype, making it a dependable piece of gear.

Shotguns
While shotguns don’t have a lot of range, they pack a punch. If you’re firing from a close range, you can effectively eliminate an enemy in a single shot.

Rifles
Rifles are the best possible weapon archetype in STALKER 2, because of their sheer stopping power and their bullet damage. Although some of the weapons on this list are hybrids between SMGs and ARs, it’s still the best weapon archetype in the game.

Sniper Rifles
For long range engagements, snipers are your best possible bet. However, it’s worth remembering that these guns aren’t exactly effective at close range, and don’t have a high rate of fire either. But from a long range, even a single shot can be devastating.

Machine Guns
Machine guns are assault rifles but with a higher rate of fire and a larger magazine. These weapons have a high damage output but have insanely long reload times.

If you’re looking to clear out enemies from the battlefield in the wink of an eye, launchers are a weapon you should be using. Although their single target efficiency isn’t high, they’re mainly useful in scenarios where you clear groups of enemies.
