Gley’s best build options heavily revolve around boosting her Frenzy mechanic in The First Descendant. She is one of the harder Descendants to pick up in the shooter, but she does top the tier list when it comes to DPS numbers.
Her Frenzy reduces her HP recovery drastically but increases her damage based on how low her HP is. He has a high-risk high-reward playstyle and is a glass cannon that can melt through most content in the shooter when played right.
Below is a guide on Gley’s best build in The First Descendant.

Best Weapons and Weapon Modules for Gley
Much like with Bunny and Valby, the best weapon for Gley in the current meta will be the Thunder Cage submachine gun as well. Its high rate of fire and weak point damage potential help Gley clear some of the harder content in the game with ease.
Another weapon that goes really well with Gley’s kit is the Vestigial Organ Rocket Launcher. She will be able to melt bosses once you properly build around the gun and have a constant uptime on infinite ammo.

Best Reactor and External Components
For Gley’s Reactors, you will need to look for options that have the Non-Attribute in them along with boosting the damage of her abilities. Here are two of the best reactors to have for her:
- Materialized Singularity: Boost to Non-Attribute and Singular type
- Materialized Phase: Boost to Non-Attribute and Dimension type
If you are having a hard time getting them, settle for anything that boosts her skills and allows her to increase her DPS potential by lowering her cooldowns.
For the best External Components, you will need to go for the Annihilation set. When you have four of the components, Gley’s Firearm Attack will increase in proportion to her max HP and HP lost.
How to play Gley in The First Descendant
Gley has a very high-risk high-reward playstyle in Nexon‘s shooter. For effective DPS she is quite dependent on the Frenzy mechanic which will reduce her HP recovery but give her a significant DPS boost.
This is what makes her one of the harder characters to pick in the game, and we will not be recommending her for beginners. But that being said, Gley is very fun to pilot if you get a hang of her kit.
If you are able to position correctly with her and keep moving around the arena you will have a much easier time. Just make sure to keep activating Frenzy every time it’s available. You will want to trigger Infinite Ammo as much as possible. With the Modules that we suggested above, you are likely to have a constant uptime on Frenzy.
Here are some of the pros and cons of mining Gley in The First Descendant:
Pros:
- Has one of the highest DPS potential in the game.
- Very fun kit once you get used to her.
- Using Frenzy correctly will let her cheese through most content.
Cons:
- Gley is pretty hard to master.
- Not beginner-friendly.
