Season 1 of The First Descendant will introduce a brand-new seasonal mechanic known as the Inversion Reinforcement system.
This system will be active for the entire duration of the new season and is aimed at making the seasonal content easier for players while they try to unlock and level up their Descendants including the new Sniper Descendant Hailey.
So, here’s everything that we know about this Inversion Reinforcement system so far.
What is the Inversion Reinforcement system in The First Descendant?
The Inversion Reinforcement system is a new passive skill system that will be available during The First Descendant Season 1.
In this system, you’ll have access to different skill nodes that you can unlock as you level up. Each of these nodes has four sub-nodes, out of which you’ll be able to use only three.
When you unlock the fourth node, you’ll get a “Collection Effect “passive, that will be active for the entirety of the season.
There are five such nodes that you will be able to unlock, but the developers haven’t specified the exact sub-nodes that fall under these nodes. The general overview is as follows:
- Hunt – Improving various stats like HP and Shield bonuses after defeating enemies.
- Attribute – Enhancing player elemental resistances.
- Recovery – Impacts the player’s ability to heal.
- Survival – Activates defensive-style buffs under certain conditions.
- Season – Effects specifically designed for Invasion dungeons.
We’ll update this piece once we have more information available. As of now, there are only two ways through which you can increase your power:
- Increasing your Mastery Rank.
- Character leveling.
The Inversion Reinforcement system will be a third way to increase your character’s power in The First Descendant and will work in tandem with the two processes mentioned.
It’s currently unclear if the developers will make it a permanent addition for the future seasons, but from the looks of it, this new system is unique and can help in making some of the builds more broken than they currently are.
