How to get Fine Gold Thread in Black Myth Wukong

Fine Gold Thread is one of the most important crafting materials that you will acquire as you head towards the end game of Black Myth Wukong. It helps in upgrading and crafting some of the most powerful late-game items in the action-adventure.

However, Fine Gold Threads are very hard to come by. It’s an incredibly rare resource, and there are only a few specific ways through which you will be able to get them.

Here is a guide on how you will be able to get your hands on more Fine Gold Threads in Black Myth Wukong.

How to obtain Fine Gold Threads in Black Myth Wukong

Fine Gold Thread Wukong

Unlike crafting resources like Silk and Refined Iron Sand, Fine Gold thread cannot be farmed by beating elite enemies and Yaoguai Chiefs. The opportunities for acquiring the resource are very limited making them all the more valuable.

There are two ways by which you can acquire Fine Gold Thread in Black Myth Wukong:

1) Obtained after beating Cyan Loong

Cyan Loong is one of the secret bosses that you will be able to unlock, especially if you are looking to get the true ending in Black Myth Wukong. You fight him in Chapter 3 near the Turtle Island Keeper’s Shrine.

Once you reach the location, head right and reach a ledge. Drop down, and you will trigger the boss fight after using the Loong Scale key item.

Once you have defeated the Cyan Loong, you will find a chest in the boss arena. Interact with it to obtain Fine Gold Threads.

2) Purchased from the Shrine shop

Every Keeper’s Shrine has a shop that you will be able to access. The resources that you can purchase from them vary from chapter to chapter and from region to region, so you will be able to acquire different resources from different Shrine shops.

To get the Fine Gold Thread you will need to access the Shrine Shop in Chapter 4. They will cost 3,000 Will each, however, you will only be able to purchase a limited number of these during a playthrough.

Hence, you will need to be very clear on what you are willing to invest this crafting resource in when reaching the endgame. While you will have more options at your disposal in NG+ runs, it will not be the same when you are just starting out.

So if this is your first time making your way through the narrative, be very careful on what you want to take to the endgame as the later bosses in Black Myth Wukong are incredibly difficult and unforgiving.
