The First Descendant Season 1 “Invasion” release date & what to expect

Nexon has finally announced the date for the very first season in The First Descendant, and based from what they’ve teased in the trailer, a lot is set to arrive in the game.

From brand new Descendants, to new Ultimate variants and boss fights, the new season is likely to introduce refreshing gameplay loops for everyone.

So, here’s a quick rundown of everything you need to know about The First Descendant Invasion.

The First Descendant Season 1 Invasion release date

Season 1 for The First Descendant is scheduled to go live on August 29, 2024. Although the developers haven’t mentioned the exact release time for the update, more information about it should be available as we reach closer to the mentioned date.

New Descendants in Season 1

With Season 1, Nexon will introduce a new Sniper Descendant called Hailey. This character is the second ice-affinity Descendant and has immense crowd controlling abilities.

Apart from Hailey, an Ultimate variant of Freyna is also on the cards, but as mentioned in the official roadmap, she’ll be available with the update that’s scheduled for October 30.

What else to expect in The First Descendant Invasion update?

Apart from the new Descendants, the developers will also be including new story missions, a new boss, and two new Ultimate weapons, one of which will be available in the Battle Pass for the new season.

The developers will also be releasing a higher difficulty mode for the Infiltration Operations. Apart from that, a new Invasion event is also on the cards, which you will be able to access within the dungeons in The First Descendant.

This season will also see the arrival of a new merchant known as ETA-0. He’s an exclusive merchant and will be selling high value items like Descendant blueprints or rare crafting material.
