How to start fishing in Verse Piece
In order to start the fishing mini-game in Verse Piece you will need to head to the edge of the Starter Island which lies towards the Lost Isle. Here you will need to interact with the Fishhook Seller NPC and purchase the Fishook from them.
Once the item is in your inventory, you will then be able to cast the Fishook line by interacting with one of the three circles on the ground. The fishing process happens automatically in this game, and you will not be required to invest in any additional inputs to reel in your catch.
How to purchase Fishhook and Golden Fishhook in Verse Piece

How to upgrade Fishook in Verse Piece
To help make reeling in the rarer resources easier it’s important that you start upgrading your Fishhook as soon as possible in Verse Piece. Upgrading the item will cost you 5, 15, and 25 fish, respectively.
When you have acquired the required items you will need to make your way to the FIshhook Upgrader which can be found on the ledge near the fishing spots on the Starter Island.
Note: The upgrades you make to the Fishhook will carry over to the Golden Fishhook when you eventually pick it up.
