There are multiple ways of farming the best Echoes in Wuthering Waves, but some methods are just faster than the rest. Echoes are an integral part of combat in the RPG, and having the perfect one for your character will help them get significantly more powerful over time.
However, there are a lot of mistakes you can make when trying to target farm Echoes in Wuthering Waves. Especially when the Data Bank and Union Level mechanics come into play, things can get tricky. You might find yourself wasting your time killing bosses and not getting any 5-star Echo for your efforts.
Hence, our guide below will go over everything you need to know about farming some of the best Echoes in Wuthering Waves.
How to farm the best Wuthering Waves Echoes fast
1) Level up your Data Bank

The higher your Data Bank level is the better will be the rarity drop for Echoes. Now the best way to increase your Data Bank level will be to head to the Echo Gallery and look for the Echoes you have not obtained just yet.
Upon inspecting it, you will see the highest rarity of that particular Echo that you will be able to find at your current Data Bank level. You will notice a Track button beside the Echo information, click on it, and start to target farm the Echoes you do not have.
You will get Data Bank EXP in return, with higher rarities providing more experience points.
As your Data Bank level goes up so will the chance of gaining rarity 5 Echoes. At level 10, for example, you will have a 30% chance of getting a 4-star echo and a 70% chance of getting a 3-star echo.
However, once you reach Datab Bank level 15, you will unlock Gold or 5-Star echoes. You will have a 30% chance of getting a 5-star then, which goes up to 50% at level 17.
2) Save your 2-star and 3-star echoes before you hit level 15

The Data Bank’s Data Merge feature will let you use any 5 Echoes and get 1 or 2 in return. The Echo you receive will be a random one, however, the rarity of the echo will depend on the level of your Data Bank in Kuro Game‘s RPG.
So if you are at DB level 15, you will now have a 30% chance to gain the highest rarity Echo. So save all the low-rarity echoes till you atleast reach level 15 to get a chance for a 5-star. The 5-star drop chance will go up to 50% if you are using the Data Merge feature at Data Bank level 17.
Additionally, if you didn’t have that rarity of the resulting Echo, you will gain a massive chunk of Data Bank EXP.
3) Make the most of the co-op mode

Your world will only have a certain amount of Echoes, and they only refresh after the servers reset for the day. Hence, if you are looking to target farm a particular Echo, you will need to make the most of the co-op feature.
Not only will playing with friends make it easier to hunt down some of the hardest bosses in the game, but you will also be able to farm the Echoes you are looking for in their world. So make the most of the multiplayer feature in Wuthering Waves and hop between worlds to keep farming the Echoes.
4) Play the Depths of Illusive Realm

The Depths of Illusive Realm is a fun game mode that you can try out in Wuthering Waves to farm some of the best Echoes. Once you complete the missions in the mode you will gain access to the Illusive Realm Shop and purchase two Malleable Elite Class Echo selectors.
They don’t cost much, and once you obtain them you will gain Echoes which already have one of the Elemental Damage types for their main stat. Additionally, they will also belong to the set which matches the element.
This means that you will be able to get the perfect Echo for your favorite character right off the bat.
5) Farm bosses after Data Bank Level 17

Once you have the 5-star rarity Echo of a particular boss, you will want to target farm him for Echoes with better stats like Crit and Attack boost. So the best time to farm them will be after you have reached Data Bank level 17.
With a 50% chance of getting a 5-star rarity drop it will be much easier for you to get an Echo with much better stats and passive skills.
6) Understanding the Enhanced Drop Rate feature

In the Data Bank menu, you will see the Enhanced Drop Rate feature. This will show the Target class, the drop rate chance of their Echoes, as well as the number of attempts available for that class’ Echo to have an enhanced drop rate.
The Target class will usually be Overlord/Calamity in the higher Union and Data Bank levels, and you will get a 90% chance of them dropping an Echo for a maximum of 15 attempts. So every time you encounter the boss class the enhanced drop rate chance goes down by one.
This counter refreshes every week on Monday, and you will get an enhanced drop chance of a World Boss or Weekly Boss Echo for the next 15 attempts.
The drop chance of an echo goes up to 100% at Data Bank level 20, and the best way of using this feature is to target farm the bosses whose Echo you immediately need for a character.
So every time the attempts refresh on a Monday, invest in getting a better and higher rarity Echo of a boss by spamming them for the next 15 tries. If you have received a desired echo during one of the attempts, move on to the next boss that you need.
Note: The enhanced drop rate will not guarantee a 5-star Echo drop. It guarantees an Echo drop of any rarity. Additionally, you consume one attempt when you beat the boss and not when you get an Echo.
7) Defeat Red Mist enemies

The Red Mists are special enemy types thaat you get to beat once in your world. They are incredibly challenging to beat and usually are of a much higher level than you.
These are time-consuming encounters in the early stages of the game, and while you can look to beat them early on, it’s advised that you wait till you are better equipped.
But once beaten these Red Mist enemies will often guarantee a 5-star or 4-star Echo drop in Wuthering Waves. So if you are feeling confident, you can look to farm them in your world or visit another player’s world and farm the monsters there.
