Kaleidoscope of Hongzhen is another side quest that has been added in Wuthering Waves with the 1.1 version update. It’s one of the smaller missions like the Dance Dance Chelonian and you are not going to have to do much to complete it.
The goal of the mission will be to talk to Xunjing and then help the NPC gather four photos from around the map. The quest is very reminiscent of the Photos of Jinzhou which you complete very early on in your journey in the RPG.

How to start the Kaleidoscope of Hongzhen in Wuthering Waves
To start the questline, you will need to first complete the main questline till Act VII Jinzhou Rising which is a part of the Huanglong storyline. When you have done that, you will unlock Xunjing in Hongzhen, and talk to him will begin the quest.
He will then ask you to take four different photos around Hongzhen from particular angles.
How to complete Kaleidoscope of Hongzhen in Wuthering Waves
Here are all four photos that you will need to take to complete the Kaleidoscope of Hongzhen in Wuthering Waves:
Photo 1: Capture the Ancient tree beside the spring
For the first photo make your way to th quest marker and it will take you to a spot near a spring. Then bring out your camera and align it in a way that you capture the three with the spring. You will see the sides of the camera focus going green when you have the perfect angle. Click the photo to complete the first part of the mission.
Photo 2: Capture the strange ring-like structures
Make your way to the next navigation marker, till you are at the base of a hill where you can see a series of ring-like structures. Align your camera once again till the sides are green, and then click the photo to take the second picture.
Photo 3: Capture the strange loop structure
For the third picture of the Kaleidoscope of Hongzhen quest in Wuthering Waves, you will need to take a photo of the ring-like structure again but from an elevated spot. Head to the spot on the top of the cliff which overlooks the rings. Align your camera again till the sides get green and click the picture to complete the third photo.
Photo 4: Capture a birds-eye view of Hongzhen
From the same spot on the cliff look down to find Hongzhen below. The final photo will ask you to take a birds-eye view of the town. So align your camera again till the borders glow green and click the photo.
Once you have successfully captured all the photos go back to Xunjing to round out the quest.
Rewards for completing Kaleidoscope of Hongzhen in Wuthering Waves
Once you have completed the quest by talking to Xunjing you will gain the following rewards:
- Astrite x20
- Union EXP x150
- Advanced Resonance Potion x2
- Advanced Energy Core x1
- Shell Credit x6000
The mission is a good source of earning some Astrite and Shell Credits quickly in Kuro Games’ RPG.
