League of Legends patch 25.S1.1 (15.1) notes for Noxus season

League of Legends patch 25.S1.1 (formerly 15.1) has introduced the new season to the MOBA, which is themed around the region of Noxus. Riot has an extensive list of changes planned for 2025 and with the year’s first update going live there is a lot to unpack.

Boots have received a massive overhaul and will be based around the new system of Feats of Strength. A new jungle monster called Atakhan has been introduced to the Rift, along with small map geometry changes, a new color, and even new music.

Below is the list of all the changes you can expect from League of Legends patch 25.S1.1 once it officially goes live next year.

All League of Legends patch 25.S1.1 (15.1) changes

1) Map Changes

Summoner’s Rift will be getting a thematic overhaul based around the region of Noxus. Here are some of the bigger highlights:

A) New jungle monster: Atakhan, Bringer of Ruin

Atakhan, Bringer of Ruin League of Legends

Atakhan, Bringer of Ruin is the new jungle monster who will be spawning on the rift at the 20-minute mark and on the side of the Rift that has seen the most number of kills/deaths in the first 14 minutes of a match.

He will also be introducing new terrain along the river when he spawns and will drop Blood Roses on the map. Picking these up will grant you a permanent power buff along with additional XP for your whole team.

Atakhan also comes in two variants:

  • Ruinous Atakhan: Spawns in games where there have been a lot of kills. Taking him down will grant a bonus of Bloody Petals to the team that made the final hit on him. He will also spawn more Roses in the area and you can collect additional Petals.
  • Voracious Atakhan: Spawns in slower games that see fewer kills. He grants the False Life buff which has the following effect:
    • False Life: For the next 180 seconds, the first time you die, you will go into a 5.5-second Statis instead. You will then be teleported to your team’s spawn and the champion that had the last hit on you will earn 1 Bloody Petal and 100 Gold.
    • Your team will now permanently gain 40 bonus gold on champion takedown (takedowns include both kills and assists)

Note: Atakhan will only spawn once per game in League of Legends. However, Blood Roses will keep spawning over time on the map, especially on the corpses of champions who have just died.

B) New Objective Timers

With the introduction of Atakhan, Summoners Rift will now have the following Jungle objective timers:

  • Rift Herald at 16 minutes
  • Atakhan at 20 minutes
  • Baron at 25 minutes

C) Turrets changes

  • Turret fortification decreased: 85% >>> 50%
    • This is the damage reduction that turrets get from having plates up
  • Nexus turrets now respawn a short time after they go down, preventing backdoors and allowing more late-game comebacks
  • Turret heat up: +40% per shot >>> +50% per shot
  • Turret heat up duration: 3 seconds >>> 5 seconds
    • This essentially means turret damage will scale faster and that scaling will last longer

  • First blood
  • First tower
  • First to kill 3 epic monsters
