League of Legends season 2025 finally kicks off with patch 25.S1.1 (15.1) with the Teleport changes being one of the biggest highlights of the latest update. This summoner spell is often considered to be the most impactful in competitive match-making, which can completely flip a team fight if used right.
In season 2025, Teleport will play out a bit differently than it used to. Riot will be making it a bit slower but it will have a much bigger impact on the overall map state.
Moreover, Unleashed Teleport will have an increased channel speed and will offer more room to set up strategic plays during the late-game skirmishes.
So if you want to know more about all the Teleport changes in League of Legends season 2025, then the guide below will help you out.

How will Teleport work in LoL Season 2025
1) Teleport will no longer blink your champion
In the early stages of the game, Teleport will now focus on map impact by influencing the solo lanes. Your champion will no longer blink to the target location when the Summoner Spell is used. Instead, your character model will visually travel across the map.
This will therefore take you much longer to reach where you want to (especially if you are going cross-map) and you will be much more noticeable by the enemy team. The minimum travel duration will be four seconds and can extend up to eight seconds depending on the distance you are looking to traverse.
The initial channel of the spell is also getting reduced to three seconds from four and the dash that you perform will make you unforgettable and unstoppable.
Teleport’s cooldown has also been reduced from 360 to 300 seconds. So while it will see more play in the early game, players are likely to think twice before pulling the trigger on it, because of the dash mechanic.
Additionally, to balance the early game Teleport nerfs you will now be able to target wards and minions with the Summoner Spell. This will give you more playmaking options in the early game and not just use the spell to reach your tower early and clear waves.
2) Unleashed Teleport is more impactful
While Unleashed Teleport’s cooldown remains unchanged (330 to 240 seconds based on level) its travel speed is significantly faster and sits at 4,500. Furthermore, the bonus movement speed that you get after channeling is extended to 4 seconds from 3 and will boast a 50% boost to your total movement speed.
These changes make Teleport a very powerful tool the later a game goes, allowing you more room to set up plays around objectives. It will be interesting to see how the Summoner Spell players out in the competitive scene once pro play like the LEC Winter 2025 officially kicks off.
