Black Myth Wukong is available for the PC and PlayStation 5 platforms, boasting a ton of customizability options. The PC port in particular, has extensive graphical options – which can be further fine tuned to obtain an appreciable balance between image quality and frame rate.
While the PS5 version of Black Myth Wukong offers far less customizability in comparison, there do exist a set of PS5-specific settings that can be further tweaked to improve upon image quality and/or performance.
These ‘optimized’ Black Myth Wukong settings can be found detailed below, for all available platforms.
Optimized Black Myth Wukong PC settings
The following configuration was tested on a ‘slightly better than midrange’ PC, with an RX 6700 (10 GB), 32 GB of DDR4 RAM and an AMD Ryzen 5700X CPU – targeting a 60 FPS average with a 3440×1440 resolution:

- Display Mode: Borderless
- Aspect Ratio: 21:9; 16:9 is also available, but there do not seem to be any options for arbitrary aspect ratios (such as 16:10) yet
- Display Resolution: 3440×1440; set this to your display’s native resolution
- Framerate Cap: Off; can be capped to 60 for handheld systems to conserve battery
- V-Sync: Off
- Motion Blur: Weak or Off; user preference
- Super Resolution: 70-80
- Super Resolution Sampling: FSR or TSR; DLSS is recommended for Nvidia RTX GPUs
- Frame Generation: Enabled
- View Distance Quality: High
- Anti-Aliasing Quality: High
- Post-Effects Quality: High
- Shadow Quality: High
- Texture Quality: High; adjust as per your GPU’s available VRAM
- Visual Effect Quality: High
- Hair Quality: High
- Vegetation Quality: High
- Global Illumination Quality: High
- Reflection Quality: HIgh
While the game is quite scalable in nature, certain settings (in particular, Frame Generation and TSR/FSR/DLSS) are absolutely essential in order to ensure a smooth gameplay experience.
Optimized Black Myth Wukong PS5 settings
The following settings are recommended for the PS5 version of Black Myth Wukong:
- Graphics Mode: Performance; a smooth 60 frames per second is to be prioritized over 4K/30 visuals.
- Brightness: Keep this at the default value

The PS5 port is surprisingly solid, offering a (mostly) steady 60 FPS at its Performance preset. As always, there isn’t a whole lot to change in terms of graphical fidelity when compared to the PC version.
It is also recommended to adjust the Motion Blur and in-game HDR settings as per your tastes.
