Microsoft has been aggressively pushing AI related features into its products, the most notable of which would be Windows 11. This move has been met with a large amount of criticism, largely thanks to the incorporation of ‘slop’ into the operating system, bloating it to an unacceptable level, often compromising on both performance and the user experience.
While there have been tools that remove AI features such as Copilot and Recall entirely, there was yet to be a more ‘trimmed down’ version of these tweaks, targeting only the essential fixes.
Enter Winslop, a utility that aims to fix the most common issues plaguing Windows 11 at present, and make it relatively ‘slop free’.
How to Download and Use Winslop to Debloat Windows

The official GitHub page of the program mentions, ‘Built to remove things. Not to impress you.’, which seems to be carried on over to its UI, which follows a rather basic (but very functional) Windows 98-esque design.
The options shown here seem to be scaled back when compared to the likes of ChrisTitusTech’s (CTT) own Windows debloater utility, which makes sense. After all, this is a lightweight program that only targets essential fixes, and does not ‘overdo’ things.
To use it, follow the instructions in sequence:
- Make your way over to the official GitHub releases page of Winslop.
- Head on over to the Assets tab.
- Click on the Winslop-xyz.zip (where xyz denotes the latest version number) text to begin downloading the file.
- Once downloaded, double click on the file to run it.
- Choose your options and hit ‘Apply Selected Changes’ to finalize.
It might be worthwhile to try a reboot after you’re done with the whole process. Once again, keep in mind that is not a complete debloat/AI removal tool, and will keep certain part of the core Windows experience untouched.
