September 9 Apple Event: Where and when to watch, expected announcements and more

Apple is all set to launch a new event today, September 9 2025. This event has been dubbed the ‘Awe Dropping Event 2025’, and brings with it a few important product reveals and software announcements, such as the stable release of certain software that was still in beta.

When Does the September 9 Apple Event Begin?

Apple Event of 2024

This particular Apple event begins on September 9, and will be simultaneously broadcast across most major cities. The event begins at 10 AM Pacific Time (PT), and will be hosted in Apple’s Cupertino headquarters.

Where to Watch the September 9 Apple Event

This Apple event will be broadcast across the following three official channels:

The event is expected to last for around an hour and a half, if we go by previous estimates. The Apple TV application can be accessed using your Apple devices, and the stream is entirely free to watch – without any restrictions.

What to Expect From the September 9 Apple Event

Perhaps the biggest reveal of today’s Apple event will be the launch of the new iPhone 17 series. The iPhone 17 series is expected to come in the following flavors:

  • The base iPhone 17
  • The iPhone 17 Pro
  • The iPhone 17 Pro Max
  • The iPhone 17 Air, a brand new, super-thin model that aims to replace the iPhone 17 Plus

Pre-orders are expected to begin on September 12, 2025 – with global availability on September 19, 2025. As far as upgrades go, the iPhone 17 series will boast a brand new design, with updated camera tech, bigger and faster (120 Hz) displays across the board, and the Apple A19 and A19 Pro chipsets.

Other than the iPhone, we should also see updated variants of the Apple Watch (Series 11), ranging from the SE to the Ultra. Additional announcements include the availability of the AirPods Pro 3 and perhaps a few more surprise announcements.

Don’t expect any iPad or Mac announcements just yet though – these should be reserved for a later date.

macOS 26, iPadOS 26, iOS 26 and watchOS 26 are also expected to enter the stable release cycle soon as well, with the RC versions (release candidate) being made available today.
