Throne and Liberty PC system requirements

The newest MMORPG, Throne and Liberty is out for both consoles and PC. The game can be visually demanding, and recommends rather powerful hardware to be able to run it at acceptable frame rates.

Curiously, the PC system requirements for Throne and Liberty seem to be entirely wrong within the game’s official Steam store page, and vastly differs from the actual, correct requirements listed within the official website.

Updated Throne and Liberty PC system requirements

Minimum

  • Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit
  • CPU: Intel Core i7 7700
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • Storage: 63 GB
  • Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit or newer
  • CPU: Intel Core i5 11600K or newer
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Super or newer
  • RAM : 16 GB minimum
  • Storage: 63 GB; a fast NVMe based SSD is recommended

Despite the developer not mentioning AMD Ryzen based CPU compatibility, the game should run on these processors without any issue. The system requirements also curiously lack any mention of AMD GPUs too.

Throne and Liberty PC system requirements

Based on the data above, potential players will likely need an RX 6600 or newer to match the ‘recommended’ spec if they possess AMD GPUs. The game is also likely to consume more than 16 GB of RAM in most cases.

While nothing particularly too demanding, these actual Throne and Liberty PC system requirements are a lot more resource hungry when compared to the incorrect requirements posted on the Steam page.

For starters, the Steam page lists an Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 as its minimum spec GPU – which is considerably weaker than the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660. The Intel Core i5 6500 is also a lot weaker than the i7 7700.

With the updated system requirements in mind, Throne and Liberty seems to be a moderately demanding title that should (in theory) also be able to run on low-power devices such as handhelds with moderate success.
