As you keep completing the main mission in Dragon Age The Veilguard, you will eventually encounter the Blight during “The Singing Blade” quest. The goal will be to get rid of it to be able to progress, however, there will not be much information on how you can go about doing it.
The process is a bit confusing and there are many many in the community who are struggling with completing this part of the quest. The guide below goes over how you can obliterate the Blight in the RPG.
How to destroy the Blight in Dragon Age The Veilguard’s “The Singing Blade”

When you try to catch the “dagger thief” during the mission you will eventually encounter a giant Blight that is blocking your path. You will find it right across the stone bridge that is floating and is powered by a Power Crystal. As the blockade is gray in color there is no way of getting rid of it by damaging it directly and you will need to start by eliminating its source.
So here is how you will be able to get rid of the Blight when progressing through “The Singing Bird” mission in Dragon Age The Veilguard:
- You will find the first source just to the left of the grey bludge of the blight. You will spot a red bulbous boil that keeps glowing. So make sure to hit it from a distance (as you won’t be able to reach it anyway) and you will be able to pop it immediately.
- The second source can be found below the bridge. To locate it, head towards the grey bulge and interact with the Power Crystal to take it out. This will retreat the bridge, now look towards what was the end of the bridge and you will spot the source stuck on the wall. Shoot it from afar to break it.
- Once both the sources are down, the Blight on the main big bridge should turn red signifying that you will now be able to damage it. So hit it and your path will no longer be blocked.
- Finally, make sure to keep carrying the Power Source with you and not slot it into the socket from where you found it. You will need it in the next room. Once you make your way in you will find another socket there. So place the source in and you will be able to progress further.
This was the trickiest part of the mission, and once you get through it, you will be able to eventually retrieve the Lyrium Dagger.
