According to recent League of Legends leaks from datamined content, Viktor will likely get a complete VGU rework and slight changes to his abilities in a patch later this year. His changes will be hitting the Rift before Mel Medarda makes her way to the champion pool.
According to the leaks, his new visuals will align with his representation in Arcane season 2, which just wrapped up with the series finale. Apart from his third mechanical arm that shoots lasers, every other part of Viktor’s representation in the show was different from his model in the MOBA.
So with the upcoming VGU overall, riot will be looking to bring his in-game design more in line with how he looks in the show.
Viktor’s League of Legends rework expected changes
According to the leaks, Viktor’s new character model will look quite similar to his final “Glorious Revolution” in Arcane. he will also get a Legendary skin based on the show, which is why Riot will be looking to make his base model look a bit different and not make it exactly like what he looked like in the series.
However, VGU updates are not the only thing that you can look forward to with the rework. According to another leaker, BigBadBear, Viktor will also be receiving some changes to his abilities. These won’t be complete overhauls of his existing kit, but certain adjustments that will tie it down with the new VGU.
His abilities will function similarly to what they currently do. One adjustment that leakers have confirmed is that his ult will grow in size with more kills that he gets.
It will be interesting to see how his new visuals and kit end up once they go live.
When is Viktor’s rework releasing?
Viktor’s VGU rework and ability update are expected to be released in League of Legends on December 11, 2024. It will most likely be dropping with LoL patch 14.24.
