Before you can jump into your adventure in Netease Games’ Marvel Rivals, you will have to create a username. This username must be unique and not break the terms of conduct and/or service.
After the initial step, players might find themselves at a loss when it comes to changing their usernames in Marvel Rivals. Thankfully the game does offer a way to swap names on the fly.

How to change your name in Marvel Rivals
To change your name, you will have to head to the game’s Store. Head to the Items tab and purchase the ‘Rename Card’.
Using the Rename Card will allow you to change your username to your liking at any point in the game. However, keep in mind that in order to buy the card, you will require 500 Units.
Thankfully, Units are one of the most common currencies in Marvel Rivals, and can be obtained via the Battle Pass and/or by completing several missions.
You should have 500 Units stocked up in no time. You can also convert other in-game currency into Units if so desired.
Things to keep in mind before your change your username
- You can only purchase one Rename Card every 7 days.
- Thus, your rename attempts are limited – this is intentional.
- Make sure to follow the rules of conduct when picking a username.
- Do not pick any offensive name for your profile, lest you may face a timeout and/or a ban.
- This name will be displayed on both your Career and Nameplate screens.
- This will also be used in-game and in lobbies.
No two usernames can be the same – each player is assigned a unique ID that is given on a first come first serve basis. So make sure to choose your username as soon as possible.
