Lost Ranger is a side mission in Wuthering Waves where you will need to find and rescue ranger Guhong. The quest is given to you by Grandma Jue, because the ranger used to visit the elderly of Jinzhou regularly but hasn’t been showing up for a few days now.
It’s a very short quest that you will get to complete, however, towards the tail end of it you will be made to go up against a couple of Tacet Discords. They aren’t too difficult to take down, but the area where the fight takes place can draw the attention of a nearby Impermanence Heron.

How to start the Lost Ranger in Wuthering Waves
To start Lost Ranger you will need to head to th western part of Jinzhou where you will come across the elderly looking NPC, Grandma Jue.
Upon interacting with her you will learn that the ranger known as Guhong who has been regularly visit the elderly has not come around for a few days. The quest to find him will begin as soon as you exhaust all of her dialogs.
How to complete Lost Ranger in Wuthering Waves
Here are a few steps you will need to take to complete the Lost Ranger in Wuthering Waves:
Step 1: Go to the Ministry of War
After talking to Grandma Jue, head to the Ministry of War. It will be very close to the southern Resonance Beacon of the town, so teleport there and make your way to the quest marker.
You will find NPC Shiyu standing outside the main building. So talk to her and you will receive Guhong’s contact information. Using it, you will learn that the ranger is asking for backup, and you will need to find him and rescue him from his current predicament.
Step 2: Find Guhong near Camp Overwatch
To find Guhing you will need to go to Camp Overwatch. You can either get there by traveling north from Jinzhou or teleport to Desorock Highland -Camp Overwatch beacon and from there go southwest.
You will find a small cave there that houses the Impermanence Heron world boss. Ignore it and move left to find Guhong collapsed on the ground.
Step 3: Beat the Tacet Discords
After interacting with Guhing, you will be ambushed by two Tacet Discords. When fighting them, remember to stay in that part of the cave. If you venture to the middle, you will draw the attention of the Impermanence Heron and the fight will get significantly more difficult.
If you accidentally do end up drawing the World Boss’ attention, just ignore it and focus your DPS on the Tacets.
After defeating them, there will be a small cutscene where Guhong will thank you and then head towards Jinzhou.
Step 4: Talk to Grandma Jue
Even if you have drawn the Heron’s aggro, you can still teleport out of the cave. So head to Jizhou and talk to Grandma Jue one last time. Exhaust her dialogues and you will have completed Lost Ranger in Wuthering Waves.
Rewards for completing Lost Ranger in Wuthering Waves
Once you have rounded out Lost Ranger in Wuthering Waves you will get the following rewards:

- 2x Medium Resonance Potion
- 2x Medium Energy Core
- 1x Sealed Tube
While the rewards can seem underwhelming, you honestly don’t have to do much to complete Lost Ranger in Kuro Games’ RPG.
