Most popular anime that are constantly in discussion deal with a power system that is tied to several characters and their weird abilities. Coming across some original ability ideas can be tough, as oftentimes, more of the rare ones are overtly obtuse and outright hilarious.
In the following list, we will be exploring some of the weirdest abilities that we have found in some anime.

Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo (nose hair)
Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo is quite the weird name for an anime, starring a character with the same name. But there is a reason for that, because this show was designed to be weird and hilarious.

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure (Super Fly)
Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure is a series that will be mentioned quite a lot of times in this list, as it deals with a lot of characters using weird abilities to fight, and at times, it makes absolutely no sense while still being extremely entertaining.
In the fourth part of the anime, titled Diamond is Unbreakable, we are introduced to a character with one of the most ridiculous abilities one can come up with.

The story follows high school student Shouji Mitsuka, who is obsessed with girls’ hairstyles. But things change as he earns the ability to transform into a magical twin-tailed warrior and fight against the invading Ultimegil, along with others with similar attributes.
Keijo (vacuum butt canon)
Keijo is an anime about a weird but entertaining contact-only fictional sport. It involves people trying to overpower each other using body contact in a swimming pool. It sounds hilarious, but the show can get very hype inducing at times.
The show follows the talented Nozomi Kaminashi, who is participating in the world of keijo to win for her family, and to do that, she must butt-slam her way through a roster of competitive challengers.
This is where the weird and hilarious part comes in. Being a sports anime Keijo deals with a lot of interesting abilities, one of them is the vacuum butt canon which is used by a character to create vacuum shockwave from the butt, powerful enough to shred swimsuits.
Manyuu Hikenchou (breast size manipulation)
Manyuu Hikenchou or Manyuu Scrolls, is a show that is set in a world where breast sizes determine wealth and status. You read that correctly, this is a weird and funny anime that is adapted from a manga written and illustrated by Hideki Yamada.
The show was animated by Hoods Entertainment, and we highly recommend it just for the premise alone. But that is not all, as the real creme de la creme, as the reason for including it in our list is attributed to one of the most ridiculous abilities ever thought of in anime history.

One Piece is created by Eiichiro Oda and has been published in the Weekly Shounen Jump magazine. The story revolves around a fantasy pirate universe where people with wonderful and weird abilities are searching for the One Piece.
One of these characters, central to our discussion, is Franky, who is a member of the Straw Hat Pirates. Being a cyborg, he augmented his body with various features, including nipple lights, which help in navigation and even allow him to see over 7000 meters underwater.

Charlotte is an original anime created by Jun Maeda, who is known for various properties such as Clannad, Angel Beats!, and Kanon. It follows a high school student named Yuu Otosaka, who has the ability to possess other people.
Yuu is caught while exploiting his powers by another character, Nao Tomori, who introduces him to a school of other characters with all sorts of weird abilities. One of them is Udo, who is the center of our discussion.
Udo has an ability called thoughtography, which allows him to click altered versions of pictures of anyone using his mind. He was using this ability to click indecent pictures of girls and sell them until he was caught by Nao Tomori.
The Law of Ueki (lover of glasses)
We have mentioned The Law of Ueki in one of our previous lists. It is an underrated anime with a really interesting premise and characters with weird abilities. Originally adapted from a manga series written by Tsubasa Fukuchi.
The show is set in a world where characters are given wonderful powers and have to fight in a tournament to decide who is going to be the next King of the Celestial World.
The show centers around the character named Kosuke Ueki, but we would like to divert your attention to a different character and her weird ability. Ai Mori, one of Kosuke’s classmates, has the ability to turn her enemy into a lover of glasses.

Originally a light novel series written by Natsume Akatsuke, KonoSuba follows the story of Kazuma Satou, who gets transported to a fantasy world where he meets up with all sorts of incredible characters, one of them is Megumin, a witch.
Witches in fantasy media are always depicted as easily overpowering other characters. But Megumin is the complete opposite; she has only mastered one spell, explosion, and she runs every encounter with this ability, which creates hilarious scenarios.
