On September 10, 2025, Charlie Kirk was assassinated by an unknown gunman while attending an event in the Utah Valley University.
On, September 13, the US authorities arrested Tyler Robinson, a student of the same university, with alleged links to the shooting case. He’s currently being held by the authorities in jail, but the internet has rallied on TikTok, pleading for his release.
There’s not been any movement about the case so far, and considering that the US authorities are silent, it’s unclear what they plan to do next with Tyler Robinson and how they plan on moving the case forward.
Netizens Plead For the Release of Tyler Robinson in the Charlie Kirk Shooting Case
As mentioned by a post on Facebook, over 10,000 people have chimed in with requests to the US authorities, asking them to let the individual go.
It’s also believed, that Tyler Robinson had a 4.0/4.0 CGPA and received a full scholarship to attend the university. Additionally, there are claims that both him and his family are conservative, so there seems to be no motivation for him to commit the crime.

Netizens have requested the US authorities to let him go on the ground that he’s a kid, and he’s got good grades. Some have also stated that it was a mistake on his part.
Needless to say that the internet is also divided into two camps over this. While there’s one section that wants the US authorities to leave Tyler Robinson, there’s another camp which believes that he should be held accountable for his actions.
With it currently being the weekend, it’s likely that any movement with regards to the case won’t happen before Monday, September 15, 2025.
All pleas aside, it’ll be worth seeing how the courts and the law decides to move with this case. It’s unlikely that they’ll be hearing to what the internet has to say in this regard, but still, it’s something worth keeping an eye out for.
