There are over 100 side quests in Shin Megami Tensei 5 Vengeance. Some of these are exclusive to either the Canon of Vengeance or Creation, some are time-sensitive, and some are canon-exclusive while being time-sensitive at the same time.
Time-sensitive quests are only active for a given time, and you are going to miss it if you do not complete the mission in time.

How to complete:
This questline is one of the longest and you will need to beat all of the Avatars of Death after getting the Manora. The avatars can be found in the following locations:
- Da’at: Minato: Matador
- Da’at: Shinagawa: Daisoujou and Hell Biker
- Da’at: Chiyoda/Shinjuku (Vengeance-only): White Rider, Red Rider, Black Rider, and Pale Rider
- Da’at: Taito: Mother Harlot and Trumpeter
After beating all of them you will finally see a “???” icon at the Hall of Chaos Leyline Font. Here you will meet and fight against the Demi-Fiend.
It’s the hardest encounter in the game, and once you beat him, you will complete the quest and automatically add him to the party.

No Stone Unturned

Brawny Ambitions

How to complete:
You can either recruit a Zhu Tun She from Da’at or fuse one using Peallaidh and Gremlin. Once you have the demon in your party head back to Hare of Inaba to complete it.
A Preta Predicament

How to complete:
Head to the south of Mita Layline Crossing. You will meet a starving Preta there, talk to him, and head to the next map marker. A Preta there will give you some food, now head back to the quest-giver, and give them the food, but it will trigger a fight. Beat the Pretas to complete the quest.
Knocking on Death’s Door

How to complete:
A Dormath will be marked on the map after you accept the subquest. So just make your way there, beat it, and return to Nyam Nyami to complete the quest.
She Who Rules the Night (TImed Quest)

How to complete:
This is a time-sensitive quest and once you begin you will need to collect at least 4 young starts for her. The quest starts on a New Moon, and you have until the Full Moon to collect the Young Stars. The more Young Stars you collect the better the rewards will be.
Bully Breaker

How to complete:
Head to the cave to the east of the Tzitmitl and you will find a lot of Daemons there. So just kill three and report back to Agathion.
The Water Nymph/The Spirit of Love (Choice-based quest)

How to complete:
These two quests coincide with each other and you can either side with Leanan to beat Apsaras, or you can side with Apsaras to beat Leanen. We recommend the former as Apsaras will join your party after the quest and she is instrumental in taking down the Hydra and Na’amah later on in the narrative.
The Cursed Mermaids

How to complete
Just head to the waypoint of the quest marker and defeat Pazuzu. However, do keep in mind that you ill have to first defeat Hydra to reach this spot.
The Demon of the Spring

How to complete:
To head to the spring you will need to make your way to the Onarimon Leyline Crossing and then make west up the mountain. Here you will receive the “The Golden Dragon’s Arrival“ quest, but your objective is to jump down to the lower mountain to the south and follow the path to reach the hot springs. Make sure to hit every Quest Navigator point of interest there to unlock a Magatsuhi Rail which leads directly to Tokyo Tower.
After you reach the hot spring, interact with and beat Anahita. Then go back to Mermaid to complete the quest.
Pollution Panic

How to complete:
Make your way to the river to the south of the Tokyo Tower Leyline crossing. Here you will find a group of Azumi. Beat 5 of them and go talk to Mandrake to complete the quest.

Go to the Jatayu Egg location up on the mountain. and collect it. However, make sure to avoid running into Jatayu. He will one-shot you at this point in the game. Just collect the egg and teleport out. Then talk to Ativaras to complete the quest.
To Curse a Curse

If you make your way to the south of Kamiyacho Leyline Crossing you will find a lot of Bicorn in the location. So just defeat 5 of them and report back to Andras.

How to complete:
This quest takes a pretty long time to complete as well. You will need to beat the following demons throughout Minato:
- Xuanwu

We recommend that you reach at least level 50 before tackling all the bosses. Once they are down, report back to Huang Long.
Talisman Hunt

The three talismans will be marked on the map, once you find them report back to Shiki-Ouji. He will then challenge you to a fight. Beat him to complete the quest.
Movin’ on Up

How to complete:
Converse with the demons outside. but you will find that no one needs help from Oni. Report that information back to him which will make him angry and start attacking the demons outside. Confront Oni and beat him to complete the quest.
Beastly Battle of Wits

How to complete:
Nozochi will ask you a riddle the answer to which is “An empty path”. He will follow it up with a second riddle and you will need to fetch Sangaku Beads by making your way to Shiba Leyline Crossing and then heading east to where all the Kodamas are.
Go up the hill and you will find some Sangaky Beads there. Collect them and bring them back to Nozuchi, who will then give you a third riddle. To solve the final riddle, slash Nozhuchi to start an encounter. Then beat him to complete this side quest in Shin Megami Tensei 5 Vengeance.
Home Sweet Home

You will need to challenge and beat Komokuten to complete this side quest in Shin Megami Tensei 5 Vengeance. The demon is weak to Electric, so make sure you have enough Zio users in the party.
The Succession of Ra

How to complete:
You will need to go to the Tokyo overworld and head to Jozoji to speak to a man in the Knit Hat. Then talk to the Lady in Apron in the South West and then interact with the girl in the South East.
Finally, talk to the Poised Man nearby and once the conversation ends, you will be ganked by a Pisaca. Use fire spells to beat it and complete the quest.
Rite of Resurrection (Time-Sensitive/Vengeance only)

How to complete:

How to complete:
This quest takes place in school. Once you accept it, wait till class is over. Then make your way to the 2nd-floor hallway and talk to the Male Student there to learn about the Prince.
After exhausting his dialogues, make your way back to Miyazu in the infirmary to complete the quest.
Supersonic Racing

How to complete:
Once you are ready to start the quest, talk to the reporter. You will then see an NPC marker on the map zooming away. Make sure to stand in its path and press the icon that pops up to interact with it. After doing it a few times you wil reveal the lady as Turbo Granny. She will attack you so beat her to complete the quest.
Miracle Research

How to complete:
The quest unlocks after you have talked to th head researcher in the Tokyo Diet Building. You will have to beat Artemis who is near the Tokyo Tower. However, she will first ask you to beat Quetzalcoatl. beat the demon and return to Artemis who will then challenge you to a fight.
As she is weak to Electric, make sure you have demons who have the necessary Zio skills. Defeat Artemis and you will have to option to recruit her. Complete the quest by going back to the Bethel Researcher.
The Doctor’s Last Wish

How to complete:
Head to the waypoint and you will find Doctor Nitta being attacked by Mephisto. Interact with Mephisto and then beat him. Make sure to pack some Hamaon in your party for the fight.
After beating him return to the Researcher and Request Demonic Allies. Select Mephisto and he will join our party and you will also unlock his Special Fusion.
The Rage of a Queen

How to complete:

It will also unlock her Special Fusion and you can round out the quest by talking to the Researcher.
Special Training: The Kunitsukami (Canon of Vengeance only)

Infiltrate the Demon Feast (Time-Sensitive)

Holding the Line/Those seeking Sanctuary (Choice-based quest)

How to complete:
You will need to make your way to the World of Shadows and fuze a Xeizhai. You can do it by combining Shiisaa and Feng Huang. Then use a Grimoire to level Xeizhai to 31 to unlock Puncture Punch. Once you have it, head back to Hare of Inab to complete the quest.
Can I Keep Them?

How to complete:
You do not need to capture Mothmen by negotiating with them. Just beat them in an encounter and you will automatically catch them in the box Lilim gave. Defeat 10 Mothmen to complete this quest.
Iced Out

Tough Love (Time-Sensitive)

Kumbhanda’s Bottle

You will need to make your way to the Parking Lot where a Kumbhanda will be waiting. Defeat it and it will drop a Bottle. Deliver that to Succubus to complete the side quest in Shin Megami Tensei 5 Vengeance.
Birds of a Feather

You will need to beat Thunderbird who is located to the South of the Container Yard. You will need to climb up the container to be able to start the encounter. Make sure to have a party with Zanma. Once you beat it, report back to Koppa Tengu to complete the quest.
Pixie on the Case

How to complete:
Speak to all the demons in the area, they will give you clues as to who stole the fruit. The actual culprit is Jack-o’-Lantern. Make the choice and then complete the quest.
The One I Love

How to complete:
Head to the Fairy Village after accepting the quest and speak to Silky. Then make your way back to Incubus to round out the quest. You will also get an option to give 5,000 Macca to Incubus. If you do accept it, he will then give you a Magic Insense in return.
A Goddess Stolen

How to complete:
Head to Loki’s hideout marked by the waypoint. There will be a boss encounter with him, beat him with Light spells, and then you will have an option to bite the Golden Apple. Your choice in this will not affect the outcome. Pick either ad you will free Idun. Finally, head back to Jack Frost to complete the quest.
The Root of the Problem

Head to the north of the Fairy Village in th large open area. You wil find May nadrakes there. When you strike them the battle will begin and they will often be accompanied by Narcissus. Beat 8 Mandrake to collect the root and report back to Silky to complete the quest.
The Tyrant of Tennozu

How to complete:
Make your way to the waypoint by getting on the path by the side of the Highway. You will then get o climb up the mountain path in a spiral and encounter Belphegor. Defeat him and report back to Demeter to complete the quest.
The Falcon’s Head (Canon of Creation)

Supply Run (Missable, Canon of Vengeance only)

Heart of Garnet (Canon of Vengeance only)

How to complete:
Head to the waypoint and beat Vouivre. You can then choose to spare her or let her live. Either choice will not affect the reward outcome so pick either.

How to complete:
Depending on who you side with you will need to beat the necessary boss. The only thing that your choice will affect is the reward. Once you beat a boss, the one you sided with will join your party. You will also unlock both of their special fusion.
He of a Hundred Hands (Chiyoda-only)

How to complete:

How to complete:
You will probably have all the necessary items in your inventory by the time you reach this quest. If you don’t have them, use a Quest Navigator like Decarabia and interact with points of interest. Decarabia is good at finding gemstones.
For the Shinjuku version of the quest make sure to use Alice. You will unlock her as a Navigator after completing “Alice’s Wonderland”.

Trial of the Seven Stars (Chiyoda)/ A self of my Own (Shinjuku)

How to complete:
For the Chiyoda version of the quest, you will need to take control of Cironnup and collect the Seven Stars. You will need to follow the path and speak to all the Miman in order.
For the Shinjuku version, you will need to memorize the order of the Miman that Legion displays and answer them correctly. The more you play the quiz the more will Legion switch things up. You can tackle it at another time if you wish to play it later.
Guardian of Tokyo (Chiyoda-only)

How to complete:
To complete the quest you will need to beat the Four Heavenly Kings:
- Zouchoute (Found downriver near the Fairy Village)
- Jikokuten (Found deep in Akihabara at Sotokanda)
- Koumokuten (Right outside Kamiyach on top of a hill)
- Bishamonten (Near Ueno Park in Taito)
Once you beat them all report back to Masakado who will then challenge you to a fight. Beat him to complete the side quest in Shin Megami Tensei 5 Vengeance.
Keeper of the East (Chiyoda-only)

How to complete:
Chellenge and beat Jikokuten. He is weak to Fire, so you won’t be having much trouble. Beat him and you will complete the quest.
Goddesses of Fate (Chiyoda/Demon Haunts)

How to complete:
You will get this quest from Clotho in Chiyoda if you are playing the Canon of Vengeance. For Canon of Creation you will get the mission from Lachesis after you converse with her in the Demon Haunts.
The objective for both routes is the same and you will need to make your way to a high point in Motoasakusa (Taito) and defeat Norn. However, make sure you have all three Sisters of Fate in your party.
Rascal of the Norse (Demon Haunts and Chiyoda only)

How to complete:
Make your to the waypoint with Idun and Loki in your party. Now pick the option to summon them both to start an encounter with Thear. beat him to complete the quest.
Heroes of the Celts (Demon Haunts and Chiyoda only)

How to complete:
Speak to Cu Chulainn and then start the quest on a New Moon. You will need to collect atleast 9 Four-Leaf Clovers until the Full Moon to complete the quest. You will find these items nearby but make sure not to get too close to the Fairies as they will put you to sleep making you skip a moon phase. Once you collect them come back to Cu Chulainn to complete the side quest in Shin Megami Tense 5 Vengeance.
Will of the Samurai (Demon Haunts and Chiyoda only)

How to complete:
You will need to head to the Ginza Leyline Fountain in Da’at: Chiyoda. Make sure you have Yoshitsune in the party for this part. Once you reach the waypoint, you will encounter Atavaka and Rakshasa who will attack you. Beat them to round out the quest.

How to complete:

Part-Time Gasser (Shinjuku-only)

How to complete:
You will start this side quest on a New Moon, and you have until the Full Moon to get 10 Poison Flower Buds. You can either collect them from the ground or beat Zhens in the area to have an easier time collecting them. If you collect more than 10 the rewards will be better.

How to complete:
Head to Tokyo Tower to speak to Kurama Tengu. Once the conversation ends, he will ask you to bring Amanozako. Have her follow you to Kurama Tengu, however, the demon will ask you to hand her over. You will need to refuse which will kick off the encounter. Beat Kurama Tengu and the spawned Zaou-Gongen to complete the quest.
The Holy Ring

How to compete:
You will need to talk to Melchizedek after reaching the waypoint. After the conversation ends you will have to fight the following angels:
