Throne and Liberty’s class and weapon systems play out very differently than the other popular MMOs on the market. There are no predefined classes in the game, and the class you pick is decided by the weapon type that you have equipped.
This will allow you to change your playstyle at will by just swapping in a different weapon. Because of this system Throne and Liberty offers a fair bit of gameplay versatility allowing you to try out a new approach to battle on the fly.
How does the weapon and class system work in Throne and Liberty

As mentioned, your character class in the MMO depends on the weapon you have equipped. You will be able to carry two weapons at the same time and swapping between them is rather seamless.
You will have a skill bar from 1 to 12 pressing it will activate the skill and swap it to the weapon that performs it. Once the skill is performed your character will switch back to their main-hand weapon if the skill was for the off-hand armament.
This allows for a lot of unique weapon combos that you will be able to tap into as you progress further into the MMO. The lack of a pre-determined class offers a lot of freedom to players.
Every weapon type or class explained in Throne and Liberty
There are currently seven weapon types or classes in the Throne and Liberty:
1) Sword and Shield
The Sword and Shield is one of the beginner-friendly weapons that you can pick up in the MMO. It offers a good balance between offense and defense.
The weapon has a lot of survivability tools built into the kit and the class is capable of drawing aggro away from your party’s damage dealers. This allows the Sword and Shield user to be the ideal frontline for most party setups.
2) Greatsword
The Greatsword weapon class comes with a lot of HP and high DPS combos in Throne and Liberty. They have a lot of AoE skills up their sleeves and are amazing at clearing out hordes of enemies in the blink of an eye.
They will usually lead the charge along with Sword and Shield users to thin the incoming wave making it easier for the rest of the team to nuke priority targets.
3) Longbow
The Longbow is all about getting the proper positioning on the battlefield and deleting key targets from afar. This class doubles as a support as well and can help accelerate the heath recovery for the rest of their party members.
Longbow can be the perfect weapon for you if you love to keep your distance and snipe enemies from a screen away.
4) Crossbow
Crossbow is a mid-range class in Throne and Liberty that relies primarily on moving around the battlefield and riddling the enemy with an arrow. They have very fast combos and are the glass cannons of the party.
They do not boast much in terms of defense but their offensive capabilities are off the charts.
5) Staff
Staff users are the mage class and with it, you will be able to take control of the elements in the MMO. They have a range of devastating AoE spells in their arsenal which will allow them to melt enemy swarms.
They are the backbone of most party setups and when played right you will be able to melt through most content in the MMO.
6) Daggers
The Dagger weapon class boasts a playstyle that revolves around striking enemy weak points and landing critical blows. They have a lot of CC in their kit and are capable of wounding targets and even poisoning them.
They also have a stealth mechanic allowing them to drop enemy aggro if they become the target. Daggers come with a lot of single-target damage and are perfect at nuking bosses.
7) Wand and Tome
The Wand and Tome is the primary support class in Throne and Liberty. They come with an array of healing magic and skills that buff allies and debuff enemies.
They are a must-have in boss raids as they will let your party have a much better DPS uptime making completing content significantly easier.
