The Fabled Magnetic Cube Mechanics is a three-part quest line in Wuthering Waves that will ask you to solve a variety of puzzles for Mizhi in the Tiger’s Maw Mine. The puzzles involve magnetic cubes and can be a bit difficult to complete if you aren’t exactly certain of how to solve them.
While The Fabled Magnetic Cube Mechanics is a bit time-consuming, the rewards are worth it. Completing each part of the quest will let you grab a lot of Union EXP, Astrite, and Shell Credits. So try investing some time to complete the puzzles when you are looking to take a break from exploration.

How to start the Fabled Magnetic Cube Mechanics in Wuthering Waves
In order to start the Fabled Magnetic Cube Mechanics in the RPG, you will need to speak to Mizhi. He can be located at the base of the Tiger’s Maw Mine. So teleport to the Resonance of the area and then head drop down the mountain.
You will find the NPC mumbling to himself while standing infront of a locked door. Interact with him and begin the questline.
Completing Fabled Magnetic Cube Mechanics 1 in Wuthering Waves
For the first part of the quest line, Mizhi will ask you to solve a series of Magnetic Cube puzzles to get the locked door open for him. Once the mission begins, you will find him at the upper levels of the Tiger’s Maw Mine overlooking a Magnetic Cube puzzle.
To complete the first quest, you will need to solve a series of three puzzles:
Puzzle 1
For the first puzzle, you will need to hit the Magnetic Cube in the following order:
- Right > Down > Left > Left > Down
This will get the Cube inside the desired box. Once it’s in talk to Mizhi again for the next puzzle.
Puzzle 2
You will need to get the Magnetic Cube in the desired box once again, however, there will be a few obstacles that can make it a bit tricky. You will need to hit the cube in the following order:
- Up > Up > Left > Down
Puzzle 3
Puzzle 3 is much more complicated to solve as it will feature movable obstacles as well as breakable boxes. To solve it you will need to:
- Destroy two of the breakable boxes that are blocking the cube’s way.
- Then hit the cube in the following order:
- Right > Down > Left
- Use the panel to move th barrier to free up the initial pathway.
- Hit the Magnetic Cube again in the following order:
- Left > Down
- Interact with the panel one last time to move the panel
- Hit the cube:
- Right
Once you have been able to bring the cube to the desired box, you will need to talk to Mizhi and complete the first part of Fabled Magnetic Cube Mechanics in Wuthering Waves.
You will get the following rewards:
- Union EXP x100
- Astrite x10
- Medium Sealed Tube x1
- Medium Resonance Potion x1
- Shell Credit x5,000
Completing Fabled Magnetic Cube Mechanics 2 in Wuthering Waves
The second part of the Fabled Magnetic Cube begins after your server has had its daily reset. You will need to solve another set of puzzles again, however, the mission will be given by Qingshu.
This is because Mizhi has gone missing, and to find him you will need to unlock the door again by solving a new set of Magnetic Cube puzzles.
Puzzle 1
This part of the quest will introduce a new puzzle mechanic called the base switch. You will be able to use it to transport cube bases between two different locations. To solve the puzzle, you will need to:
- Hit the base switch to open up the base which is just below the cube.
- Now hit the cube in the following order:
- Down > Left > Up > Right
- Hit the base switch again to free up the next box.
- Hit the cute:
- Down > Right
Puzzle 2
The second puzzle will have two interchangeable bases making the solution a bit more complicated to find. To solve this mechanic, you will need to:
- Interact with the switch to change the bases.
- Now hit the cube:
- Right > Down
- Flip the switch again
- Hit the cube:
- Right > Up > Left > Up
Puzzle 3
Puzzle 3 of Fabled Magnetic Cube Mechanics 2 in Wuthering Waves will have two movable bases as well as a movable obstacle. To solve it you will need to:
- Flip the switch
- Hit the cube:
- Right > Up
- Interact with the switch again
- Hit the cube:
- Left
- Flip the sitch
- Hit the cube:
- Right > Down
- Flip the switch a final time
- Hit the cube:
- Up > Right
Once you have solved the puzzle, the closed door will unlock. So make your way inside the mine to search for Mizhi.
Fight the enemies, and once you get past them you will find the NPC unconscious on the ground. Approach him and Qingshu will appear, interact wth her, and exhaust all her dialogs to complete the quest.

- Astrite x15
- Medium Energy Core x2
- Medium Resonance Potion x2
- Shell Credit x5,000
Completing Fabled Magnetic Cube Mechanics 3 in Wuthering Waves
The third part of the quest will begin once your server resets for the day. Mizhi will be back to his senses and you will need to make your way to the maintenance area of the mine. So just follow the quest marker till you see the NPC standing with Qingshu.
Interact with him to start the third and final part of the Fabled Magnetic Cube Mechanics quest line in Wuthering Waves.
Puzzle 1
This set of puzzles will introduce the teleport mechanic. There will be a halo around some cube bases which will teleport the Magnetic Cube to a different location once it lands on it. To solve the first puzzle you will need to:
- Destroy the breakable box that is in the middle.
- Now hit the cube in the following order:
- Left > Left > Up > Right > Down > Up > Left > Up
Talk to Mizhi again to start the next puzzle.
Puzzle 2
The second puzzle in Fabled Magnetic Cubes Mechanic 3 will feature both teleporting bases as well as the movable bases from the second part of the questline. To complete this you will need to:
- Flip the switch to move the base.
- Now hit the cube:
- Right > Left > Right
- Interact with the switch again
- Hit the cube:
- Left > Right > Up
Puzzle 3
The final puzzle of the quest line will add an obstacle along with the halo and the movable bases. To solve it, you will need to:
- Flip the switch.
- Hit the cube:
- Right > Down > Down
- Flip the switch again
- Now hit the cube:
- Right > Left > Up > Up > Left
- Flip the switch a final time
- Hit the cube:
- Right > Down
Once the final puzzle is complete you will need to talk to Mizhi to round out the Fabled Magnetic Cubes Mechanic quest line in Wuthering Waves. He will ask you to track down the chest, Once you find the location you will gain the following rewards:
- Union EXP x200
- Astrite x15
- Medium Energy Core x2
- Medium Resonance Potion x2
- Shell Credit x8,000
Opening the chest will give you:
- Shell Credit x50,000
