XDefiant Season 1 is slated for a July 2 release but several leaks and rumors have started to spread online already.
Since May 21, 2024, XDefiant has been out only for a few days. Although Ubisoft’s free-to-play shooter is still in its Preseason period, leaks surrounding the upcoming season have started spreading and it includes information about Factions, weapons, game modes, and maps.
AgainTX, an XDefiant dataminer, is the person behind these leaks. According to this leaker, it will include popular team-based game modes we have seen in Call of Duty.

XDefiant Season 1 leaked game modes
Here are all XDefiant Season 1 game mode leaks:
- Capture the Flag
- Team Deathmatch
- Ringleader
- Search and Destroy
The first game mode that AgainTX has leaked is Capture the Flag. It’s a popular game mode from the Black Ops series, where a team of six players fight for two flags located in each team’s bases.
Team Deathmatch needs no introduction – it’s a mode where you respawn endlessly and the player with the most kills and points, wins. Ringleader will be the XDefiant’s iteration of Call of Duty’s Kill Confirmed mode. All of these modes are the most popular in the ongoing Modern Warfare series.
XDefiant Season 1 leaked Factions
At the time of writing, leaks say that XDefiant Season 1 will have Factions based on Rainbow Six Operators, Season 2 will have Factions based on New Dawn Highwaymen, Season 3 will have Factions based on Assassins, and Season 4 will have Factions based on Breakpoint Ghosts.
Ubisoft previously revealed XDefiant’s Year 1 roadmap in 2023, but it didn’t include the details this leak has. The only official info we have about the Factions is their codenames (Ruby, Buzz, Orchard, and Horde).
XDefiant Season 1 leaked weapons
XDefiant Season 1 weapon leaks reveal only two weapons so far. This includes two sniper rifles – L115 and LVOA. Right now in Preseason, XDefiant has only sniper rifles in its arsenal – the M44 and TAC-50 (which is also considered the meta sniper rifle).
As per XDefiant’s Year 1 roadmap, we will be getting three new weapons every season – this means 12 new weapons over the entire Year 1.
If the leaks prove to be true, a couple of sniper rifles would only increase the versatility of the weapon class by bringing in more variety.
XDefiant leaked maps
While the leak doesn’t exactly say which maps will make their way to XDefiant Season 1, it does reveal several maps that will come at some point in the game.
The leak includes 10 new maps and they are:
- Aerospace
- Bunker
- Clubhouse
- Himalaya
- Jorvik
- Rockefeller
- Ski resort
- Street Race
- Waterfront
- Whitehouse
Nobody knows which of these maps will be available in Season 1 or if they’ll replace any mao from the current roster.
