Faith | 25 |
Arcane | 80 |
How to use:
This is a pure Arcane Beast Claw build that primarily focuses on building up blood loss on the enemy. This is why you will be looking to imbue the weapon with Occult which will double the Hemorahge build that it already drops with.
The playstyle around it is to two-hand the weapon and then keep spamming its Ash of War Savage Claws during an encounter. The skill has a lot of stagger damage and most enemies will flinch and will not be able to attack as long as the animation is still going on.
This will let you proc bleed on them, very easily and take them out. Similarly, with bigger enemies like the Horned Warriors and Bosses, the Hemorrhage status effect will be able to melt through their health bars.
As you are doubling the build-up values, you will be able to proc it more often and have an easier time with the harder encounters.
2) The Fire and Ice Beast Claw build

Category | Item |
---|---|

Alternate Crystal Tear | Opaline Hardtear Stonebarb Cracked Tear |
Attribute Distribution:
Attribute | Points |
---|---|
Vigor | 60 |
Mind | 20 |
Endurance | 25 |
Strength | 80 |
Dexterity | 25 |
Intelligence | 10 |
Faith | 25 |
Arcane | 09 |
How to use:
This build revolves around powerstancing the Beast Claws. This means that you will need to have two of these in your inventory. You can either get a friend to drop the weapon for you or acquire a new pair in an NG+ run.
Once you have both weapons you will need to imbue the one on the right hand with Cold and give it Savage Claws, and imbue the one on the left with Fire and give it Endure.
The playstyle for the build more-or-less revolves around the principle of “stand and deliver”. You use the Beast Claws on the left to use Endure and buff poise, then powerstance the weapon to deal Fire and Ice damage.
The combo will build up both Blood Loss and Frostbite allowing you to melt through the enemy HP bars when they proc. Additionally, once Frostbite procs, the fire damage on one of the Beast Claws will be able to negate the debuff on the enemy, allowing you to apply Frostbite again.
It’s a very deadly combo where you specifically rely on abusing the Savage Claws Ash of War after raising your Endurance.
3) The Bloody Flame Beast Claw build

Equipment, Spells, and Ashes of War:
Category | Item |
---|---|
Main Weapon | Beast Claw (Heavy Imbune) |

Alternate Talismans | Two-Headed Turtle Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman Bull-Goat’s Talisman |

Ash of War | Savage Claws |

Mind | 18 |
Endurance | 35 |
Strength | 80 |
Dexterity | 17 |
Intelligence | 09 |
Faith | 25 |
Arcane | 10 |
How to use:
The Blood Flame Claws is an amazing build for those who are leveling their Strength in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree. While the claws themselves may not be the best Strength weapons in the DLC, can offer a fun playstyle alternative if you are bored of the “oonga boonga” builds.
The build makes the most of the Beast Claws Strength scaling and will let you buff your weapon with the Bloodflame Blade Incantation. It will add a fire property to the weapon while already boosting the bleed build-up that it already drops with.
This is quite a versatile build as you gain access to other strength-scaling weapons when using it. So if the claws seem to struggling in a particular encounter, you can always switch to a colossal weapon of choice and wack the enemy with it.
During boss encounters make sure to keep applying Bloodflame Blade to have a much easier time in the encounter.
4) The Red Bear’s Beast Claw build

Mind | 17 |
Endurance | 45 |
Strength | 80 |
Dexterity | 30 |
Intelligence | 15 |
Faith | 25 |
Arcane | 15 |
How to use:
This is a pretty straightforward Bear Claws build where you make the most of its unique Ash of War. The RedBear’s Claw skill does a very powerful swipe with the claws which creates a vacuum in front that deals damage.
Executing the move again will lead to two more follow-up attacks each doing an incredible amount of damage. The Red Bear’s Claw has good stagger potential and does a good amount of damage to the enemy’s posture.
It will be quite easy to break up an enemy’s guard with it, leaving them open to a riposte. Additionally, the weapon also comes with passive Blood Loss build-up. You will be able to proc Hemorrhage multiple times in a boss encounter making the fight much more manageable.
