Using a Save Editor to edit your save files is arguably the safest way to cheat in Elden Ring. Trainers and runtime cheat mods like ‘Elden Ring Ultimate Cheat Engine Table’ have a broader range of options, but these are unsafe.

When and why you should edit your save files in Elden Ring
It’s worth remembering Bandai Namco have grounds to issue bans on players who use unfair methods to gain advantage in the competitive modes.
While editing your save files is not nearly as blatant as using mods or trainers, it still counts as cheating. Therefore, you are advised to stay away from save editors if you aim to participate in PvP activities.

Other alternatives such as darklee16’s save file manager also exist, but these are not up-to-date with the current state of the game. Note that these have only been tested with the base build of Elden Ring before the DLC’s release.
