With new weapon categories and 95 armaments being added to Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree, you will be able to get your hands on some of the best unique weapons that the expansion has to offer. These weapons have some of the most amazing Ashes of War in the game which either apply a special effect to the armament or deal a ton of damage that can on-shot an entire mob.
While some of these unique weapons are easy to come by, others are a bit harder to locate. So if you are looking to play out a power fantasy where you go around melting everything in the Land of Shadow then we got you covered.
Below is a list of some of the best unique weapons in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree and how to get them.
5 amazing unique weapons in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree and where to find them
1) Sword of Darkness

Sword of Darkness is one of the best unique weapons for melee Faith builds in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree. It scales primarily off of Strength, Dexterity, and Faith and while it has good AR, what sells this weapon so hard is the Ash of War.
Sword of Darkness has the Ash of War called Darkness which is a two-part attack. When used your character will lift the sword up acquiring darkness from around in a small AoE. Enemies in the AoE range will take damage and have their attacks interrupted.
Once it has gathered Darkness, the sword will then spew it out in a 360-degree radius damaging those around but in a wider range. While it might not seem that impressive at first glance what makes this skill special is how Darkness will debuff the affected enemy’s holy mitigation.
So once inflicted, they will take more damage from weapons and incantations that do holy attacks.
You will get this weapon by transforming the Stone-Sheathed Sword. You can get the Stone-Sheathed Sword from one of the three Altars in: Fog Rift Catacombs, Ruins of Unte, or Ancient Ruins of Rauh. Depending on where you are getting it from, the other two altars will transform into the Altar of Sword of Darkness and the Altar of Sword of Light. You will have to reach the respective altar to transform the weapon.

2) Velvet Sword of St. Trina

The Velvet Sword of St. Trina is one of the most powerful weapons that inflict the Eternal Sleep effect. When you use its Ash of War Mists of Eternal Sleep, you will spread a mist of purple smoke infront of you and build up the sleep meter on foes that are in the AoE.
Additionally, the skill will infuse both the on-hand as well as the off-hand weapons that you are carrying with Eternal Sleep. So if you are dual-wielding the sword you will be able to significantly increase sleep build-up if you are powerstancing the weapon with another sword.
When you get an enemy to sleep, you can follow it up with a heavy attack that does a tremendous amount of damage.
You will be able to find the Velvet Sword of St. Trina in the Stone Coffin Fissure. From the Fissure Cross Site of Grace, you will need to make your way up north till you reach a brick platform that tilts upwards.
Make your way up a ledge and then make your way underneath the brick platform. You will eventually come across a network of small caves where the sword is being guarded by some putrescent ooze.

3) Rellana’s Twinblade

Rellana’s Twinblade has one of the best movesets out of all the unique weapons in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree. In terms of scaling it reaches C across all Strength, Faith, Holy, and Dexterity when taken to +10, and is capable of fitting most playstyles.
Its Ash of War Moon-and-Fire stance is just incredible. When used you will ready a stance and imbue your sword with magic. If you are using a normal attack during the stance, you will cast waves of glintsone light which deals magic damage.
If you are using a strong attack, you will perform a spinning attack instead which throws flames out around you in an AoE. For both casts, you can put in additional inputs for more attacks leading to a greater effect. Strong attack inputs will be able to create pillars of fire.
The weapon is amazing at clearing mobs and bosses and is likely to be a fan-favorite for clearing the PvE content in the Land of Shadow.
You will get Rellana’s Twinblade by beating the boss and then exchanging the weapon with the Remembrance of the Twin Moon Knight. Rellana is considered one of the hardest bosses in Elden Ring’s DLC.

4) Leda’s Sword

Leda’s Sword is another Holy weapon on the list that like the Sword of Darkness scales primarily with Strength, Dexterity, and Faith. It’s one of the best choices for melee Faith builds in PvP. While it can be effected in clearing the single-player content, its strength actually lies in multiplayer.
This is because its Ash of War Needle Piercer generates 10 gold needles which pierces the enemy all at once. Additionally, those hit by it are purged of all ailments including both positive and negative status effects.
So if a player is buffing up against you before a fight, one hit of the Neele Piercer will completely remove them of all those effects.
You will be able to obtain Leda’s Sword as a drop in Enir-Ilim. You will need to defeat each one of Miquella’s followers in the encounter against Leda to be able to obtain it.

5) Euphoria

The Euphoria Twinblade is one of the coolest faith weapons in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree. While it has th standard movesets of a twinblade, the more you deal damage with the weapon the more it builds up charge.
It will reach levels 1 and 2 as the charge builds and with each level the damage it does significantly increase. However, what sells the weapon even more is the Ash of War Euphoria Vortex.
When used with no charge levels, the weapon will spin dealing continuous damage. At level one, you will spin the weapon again but this time small light projectiles of light will come out dealing a small amount of damage.
However, at level 2 the the projectiles of light start hitting like a truck. It has the same damage capabilities as a fully charged Comet Azure and can one-shot most enemies in the game.
But do keep in mind, that as soon as you use the Ash of War, you lose all charges on the weapon. So the damage buff you got for your normal attacks upon reaching a level will disappear and you will need to rebuild it.
You will be able to obtain the Euphoria Twinblade in Belurat Tower Settlement. It’s much later on into the DLC.
