As you progress through the various missions and chapters in Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2, you might just be looking for ways to level up your character fast. Having more levels on you will let you tackle some of the harder challenges that the title can throw.
Higher-difficulty missions will net you a better yield of Requisition and Armory Data. Requisition is needed for upgrading your armor, whereas the Armory Data helps you get better upgrades for your weapon.
So to be able to min-max your character for the late-game, you will need to know about some of the best ways of leveling up.
How do you level up in Space Marine 2?

In Space Marine 2, leveling up happens between two separate game modes:
- Operations
- Eternal War
The best way to level up in each of the game modes is different, so your strategy will change based on what you are looking to go for.
Best ways to level up in Space Marine 2 Operations
When it comes to the Operations Missions, the best way to level your character up will be to keep completing the missions while ramping up the difficulty as you go along.
Here is what your level and difficulty progression should look like:
Level | Mission Difficulty |
---|---|
Level 1 | Minimal Threat |
Level 5 | Average Threat |
Level 10 | Substantial Threat |
Level 15 | Ruthless Threat |
So once you reach a certain level threshold, make sure to increase the difficulty of the missions so that you optimize your XP farm. Being at a much higher level and still taking on minimal threats will take you eons to reach the level cap for your character.
Additionally, you will also be able to boost the amount of XP that you gain from the mission by collecting Gene Seeds from around the maps in the missions. However, to gain the 30% XP boost from it, the Gene Seed holder will have to extract the item by completing the mission without dying after having the item equipped.
Best ways to level up in Space Marine 2 Eternal War
To gain levels in Eternal War, boot up “Capture and Control” and pick a class that comes with some support skills. A class like the Bulwark is perfect for gaining more XP. They have the ability called the Chapter Banner which lets them set up a flag that gives off an AoE pulse. Players in the pulse have their shield recharged.
Assisting your teammates provides you with a good bit of XP when they get an elimination. The XP obtained from two assists can often be equal to the XP gained from an elimination.
In “Capture and Control” capturing and holding a location will also net you experience points. This makes it one of the best modes to try out and level up fast in Space Marin 2.
