How to start harvesting and begin your journey as a Forager in Brighter Shores

When you start your journey as a Forager you will not require any tools at level 0. You will be able to immediately start harvesting Brown Kelp with your bare hands during the tutorial portion of the game.
You will find Brown Kelp on East Beach and when you start picking it up you will gain XP for the Forager job. Once you level up you will start getting access to more tools starting with the Secateurs.
Leveling up will also upgrade the foliage of the map that you are on. The previous resources will be replaced by better quality ones and in Hopeport Brown Kelp behind you will be upgraded to Green Kelp once you become a level 47 Forager.
You gain Forager levels by actively taking part in harvesting resources in Brighter Shores or by going for Passive Activities when ou are AFK or logging out for the day.

How to enchant Foraging equipment

You will be able to enchant your Foraging tools by talking to the Enchantress. You will need to invest 55 Silver to enchant the starting gear, Secateurs. While it can seem like a very expensive option to opt into, it’s recommended that you go for it when you have money to spare.
Enchanted gear will provide an XP boost towards the profession that you are tied with. This will make it much easier to level up the profession. So make sure you are looking for ways to make more money fast in the MMO so that you can get all the enchantments going.
Moreover, enchantments are tied to the character and not the gear. So even if you switch to a different pair of Secateurs you will automatically transfer all of the enchantments.
Best Brighter Shores Foraging leveling guide
In the early stages of the game, you will not have much trouble gaining more Foraging Levels in the MMO. You will just need to grind it out and go around picking everything that you get around the map.
Items will usually come in groups of three across two areas on the map. So you will be able to loop six items in one go before having to wait for them to respawn.
You can further boost XP gain by using XP Hopeport potions. However, you will need to have Forager Level 4 and Alchemist Level 4 to get your hands on the basic 5% Hopeport Experience potions.
Then once you reach level 20, you will be able to unlock Passive Activities which will further help you have an easier time leveling the Foraging profession.
