The Call of Duty Black Ops 6 beta is all set to launch August 30, 2024 via its ‘Early Access’ channel, with an Open Beta set to follow from September 6 to September 9, 2024 shortly afterward – for which developer Activision Blizzard has prepared a pre-load across all eligible platforms.

How to preload the Call of Duty Black Ops 6 beta
PC
- A Battle.net install, along with the Call of Duty HQ is mandatory.
- Head to the Downloads section of the Battle.net client, and select ‘Call of Duty’.
- Click on the ‘Settings’ option under the ‘Play’ button, and choose ‘Modify Install’.
- Next, head to the ‘Content’ page and click on yet another ‘Modify Install’ button, to bring up the Black Ops 6 Beta page.
- Hit the Confirm and the ‘Start Update’ buttons to proceed and begin the preload.
PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5

- Boot up your console, and head to the Store.
- Search for Black Ops 6.
- Download the game to install the Call of Duty HQ frontend.
- Start the Call of Duty HQ app to find an option to install the Call of Duty Black Ops 6 beta.
Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S
- Boot up your console.
- Head to the Store, and search for Black Ops 6.
- Downloading the client will automatically install the Call of Duty HQ.
- Start the Call of Duty HQ app to gain access to (and download) the beta.
This is a limited beta, and not exactly related to the upcoming Open Beta.
