Dead Rails complete Wolf taming guide

As you make your way through Dead Rails, you will be able to find and tame a Wolf to create your own canine army. Wolves will help you have a much easier time progressing through the game and surviving longer in the barren wastelands.

They will help you take on the undead along with werewolves and vampires, hence you will not need to constantly rely on your weapons and ammo to clear content.

So if you are looking to get your hands on and tame a Wolf in this Roblox game, then the guide below will help you out.

How to find a Wolf in Dead Rails

Wolves initially appear as enemies and are the only mobs that you get to befriend in Dead Rails. However, to tame one, you will need to find it.

Wolves spawn in packs in the desert area and aren’t very common. Every pack will have a minimum of three wolves, and there can be one werewolf in the pack, whose occurrence is even rarer.

Once the pack spots you, they will come after you. So, if you are looking to tame wolves, make sure to ignore the pack with the werewolf in it. Werewolves are one of the most dangerous enemies in Dead Rails, and they are best avoided if you do not have a good weapon with you.

How to tame a Wolf in Dead Rails

Taming Wolves with corpses

To get and tame a wolf in Dead Rails, all you will need to do is feed it. Wolves that spawn attack you because they are hungry, so if you can feed them, you will be able to automatically tame the pack.

One of the most easily accessible foods that you can feed the wolves is the zombie corpses. So when a wolf attacks you, if you hold a corpse in your hand, the wolf will first attack it before attacking you.

As soon as the wolf attacks the corpse, they will automatically get tamed. However, as wolves attack anything that they consider an enemy, the wolf you tame will automatically start to attack its pack.

So if you want to tame the entire pack, you will need multiple corpses and feed them to all the wolves as soon as possible before the pack completely takes themselves out.

Fortunately, if you are smart with your approach to the wolves, you will be able to make an entire army of them to help you with your progress.

How to use a Wolf once they are tamed

Wolves that you have tamed can be stored in your sack. Once they are in your inventory, you can then take them to your train and weld them there. It’s a good feature to try in Dead Rails, as it will then allow you to unweld the wolves when trying to defend your train at night or when attacking a town that you have come across.

If you are planning to weld the wolves to your train, make sure to do it on the side of the vehicle. This will prevent them from getting stuck and automatically spawn to defend you.
