1) Get the best starter Digimon
Patamon is going to be the best starter Digimon in Time Stranger. This is because in the very first chapter of the game you will have multiple ways of getting your hands on DemiDevimon (through Pagumon) and Gomamon (through Bukamon).
Moreover, Patamon’s trainee form, Tokomon, also has multiple branching evolutions, which will let you get Rookies like Terrirrmon, Armadillomon, and more. Tokomon takes a while to appear in the narrative, so if you are looking to get these Rookies early, you can go for Patamon, De-digivolve it, and proceed from there.
2) Get a grasp of the Evolution system
The Digivolution system in Time Stranger is not linear, which makes it a much more complex system than most previous franchise entries. This means that each Digimon is capable of branching out and evolving into a wide array of Digimon.
Some Digimon can have the same evolutions, and when you Digivolve or De-digivolve, you will be carrying over some of the bonus stats of the base Digimon over to the resulting one. This makes the system a core part of min-maxing your party, making progression significantly easier in higher difficulty settings.
These bonus stats are also influenced by the Personality Traits that your Digimon has. And you will be able to check the bonus you get by heading into the individual Digimon stats area and seeing the numbers in the blue brackets.
3) Talent and Bond play a key role in Digimon growth
Digimon Talent and Bond are another set of very important systems that you will need to get familiar with if you are looking to make the strongest Digimons in Time Stanger. Talent is the max level that a Digimon can reach, which can be increased through Digivolution, De-Digivolution, using the Load Enhancements system, and using items like Talent Awakening Booster DX.
The higher the talent and max level of your Digimon, the more stats you will pass onto its Digivolution and De-Digivolution form.
Bond, on the other hand, is increased by using a Digimon in your active party, by using the Farm, or by conversing with them after a certain number of encounters. Bond will also increase through evolution, and the higher the Bond you have with a Digimon, the more bonus stats it will carry forward.
4) Always convert Digimon after you reach 200% scan
To be able to convert a Digimon, you will first need to scan it by encountering it in battle. 200% is the maximum scan value that you can achieve for a said Digimon, and it’s important to Convert them only after you reach the max level because that will grant your Digimon bonus stats upon conversion.
So if you find an area where there are a lot of Digimon that you want, you can always leave the area and head back in to reload the stage. This will respawn all the Digimon, allowing you to farm them again to reach max scan level.

5) Abuse the Load Enhancement system
The Load Enhancement system is where you feed multiple Digimon to one Digimon of your choice. This will then raise their XP, as well as give them bonus stats that the fodder Digimon had. It’s the fastest way to gain XP for your Digimon in Time Stranger and will allow you to get OP very early on.
So if you have multiple Digimon in your box that you are not using, you can always choose to feed them to the ones that you are using in your active party.
However, to make the most of the system, do make sure to only feed them Digimon that you have Converted after reaching 200% scan to carry over a good percentage of the bonus stats.
6) It’s “OK” to use the Invincibility Mode
If you are struggling quite a bit in some of the harder encounters, you can always choose to use the Invincibility Mode in Digimon Story Time Stranger. This option is available in Story Mode, and you can choose to activate it once your party is wiped out during an encounter.
When the mode is active, your Digimon will take no damage for the entirety of the fight, and you can just switch on auto-battler and sit back to see your Trainees take down Mega evolutions like Chaosdramon.
7) Make sure to “Favorite” the important Digimon
You can Favorite a Digimon in Time Stanger by heading into Setup, selecting the Digimon, and then tapping R3. By Favoriting a Digimon who is in your active party or box, you effectively lock it so that when you go and Load Enhance, you do not accidentally use it as fodder.
8) Get the right Agent Skills
