The Final Fantasy XIV Moonfire Faire event is in full swing, and you will be able to get your hands on a lot of exclusive rewards in this summer festive celebration. The MMO hosts a new event every year at around this time, and 2024 is no different.
So if you are looking to get your hands on everything that the Moonfire Faire has to offer then here is a guide that goes over all you need to know about the latest summer event.
How to start the Moonfire Faire 2024 event in Final Fantasy XIV
To be a part of the Moonfire Faire 2024 event in Final Fantasy XIV you will first need to complete the Envoy quests in A Realm Reborn. These series of quests are not that hard to pull off as they occur very early on in the game’s narrative.
Once you have completed them, head to the Upper Deck area of Limsa Lominsa and look for Mayaru Moyaru. You will need to talk to the NPC to start the Fire Red, Beast Green quest.
Now teleport to Aftcastle and head to the quest marker which is in Eastern La Noscea. The quest will be about locating and calming down a lost pet Cactuar. Once you complete it, you will also get a follow-up quest called “Festival Fan Frenzy” where you will need to finish the Lost Cactuar incident.
As a part of the event, you will also be made to complete an Eorzean Nimble Warrior-themed challenge. Here you will need to complete a jumping puzzle that is exclusive to Moonfire Faire 2024.
However, do keep in mind that the quest recommendation for starting the event is level 30. So make sure to have your combat jobs leveled up sufficiently.
All Moonfire Faire 2024 event rewards in Final Fantasy XIV
You will unlock the Uchiwasshoi emote as soon as you complete the first lost Cactuar quest. The follow-up quest to the mission will net you the Summer Biggest Fan achievement. Both of these are event-exclusive rewards, however, you will be able to purchase the emote through the Online Store later on if you have missed your chance.
The Moonfire Faire Vendor in Eastern La Noscea (X:36.1, Y:26.8) will also sell special items that are themed around the event, and you will be able to get your hands on the following:

- Flame Tracer
- Serpent Tracer
- Lominsan Sparkler
- Gridanian Sparkler
- Ul’dahn Sparkler
- Bombard Bloom
- Pinwheel

When does the Final Fantasy XIV Moonfire Faire 2024 event end?
The Moonfire Faire in Final Fantasy XIV will end on August 26, 2024, at 7.59 AM PT. The event will be running just under three weeks with the celebrations officially going live on August 8, 2024, 1:00 AM PT.
The missions in the event are not that long and it will barely take you more than a couple of hours to farm everything that it has to offer.
