The Fortnite Galactic Battle event is currently live, bringing with it Star Wars themed events, weapons and characters.
Flying around in awesome spaceships is part of the authentic Star Wars experience, and Fortnite has thankfully included both the X-Wing and TIE Fighter planes this time around. This particular article will detail how players can easily obtain the TIE Fighter in Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 3.
Where to find the TIE Fighter in Fortnite
TIE Fighters are known to spawn randomly across the entire island. However, they are more likely to be found at Empire locations on the in-game map. A few of these common locations include:
- First Order Base
- Vader’s Samurai’s Solitude
Players might also have more luck finding the TIE Fighter in smaller, Resistance outposts present in the northern section of the game map. In particular, one of these machines can be found near Flooded Frogs.
However, TIE Fighters cannot be flown as-is, they need to be repaired first. Interact with the ship to bring up a prompt that asks you to bring fuel to the ship. Thankfully, you can find these fuel containers marked on your mini-map.
The containers shouldn’t be all that far away, and are usually located near the TIE Fighter. Grab them, and head back to the TIE Fighter to repair it – and then use it as you wish.
How to fly the TIE Fighter in Fortnite
Once you have the TIE Fighter in your possession, fly it! Do keep in mind that these ships aren’t exactly easy to maneuver – given their deliberately clunky nature. However, the TIE Fighter more than makes up for this with its firepower, which can decimate enemies with relative ease.
