Genshin Impact Pyro Character Tier list (version 4.4)

Genshin Impact tier lists act as an informative tool for players to learn about which characters are worth investing their time and resources in. Each list may be subjective but the rankings of the characters more or less remain the same. Genshin Impact will soon begin its third Lantern Rite festival update which will bring new additions to the ever-growing roster of the game.

Keeping that in mind, this Genshin Impact tier list will try to ascertain how each Pyro character stands as of version 4.4 of the game by taking the usage rate in the Spiral Abyss for this patch into consideration.

The game’s meta is evershifting and each update introduces new characters and artifacts that affect and alters older playable units playstyle. This list will be based on how each of these characters are performing in the Spiral Abyss, which is the hardest content in the game and serves as a metric for checking which characters are worth it. That said, let’s dive into the rankings for this Pyro character tier list.

S-tier

Yoimiya in Genshin Impact
Yoimiya is a strong Pyro DPS

Characters in this tier are considered the strongest in their own element. These units will help you clear the hardest content the fastest given you properly invest in them. These characters are:

Hutao has reigned supreme as the best Pyro DPS for a long time and is still considered so even as of version 4.4. Although being overshadowed by other characters during her debut, but the community has recognized Yoimiya’s potential as a boss-killer who excels as single-target damage.

Both Bennet and Xiangling are fantastic unit, and their rarity of 4-star makes them easily accessible.

A-tier

Lyney from Genshin Impact
Fontaine’s magician

While the S tiers are the best in  the game, do not sleep on this guy as he provides great damage as well.

  • Lyney

Lyney was introduced during version 4.0 of the game and is a great damage dealer. His only downside is that he is restricted to mono-Pyro team compositions which may prove to be an issue at times because Genshin Impact is reaction dependent.

B-tier

Thoma from Genshin Impact
Thoma provides decent shielding

Ah yes, the B tier. Delving into these characters can be tricky as they are not necessarily bad. They can make for great exploration characters but they really fall off once you reach the abyss.

  • Diluc
  • Klee
  • Yanfei
  • Thoma
  • Gaming

All of these characters suffer from some issues that hold them back. You can build them only if you really like them or lack any alternate options.

C-tier

Dehya from Genshin Impact
It’s tragic how Hoyoverse treated one of the best characters from Sumeru

While the B ranking characters in this Genshin Impact tier list are still somewhat usable even in higher world level, these three characters becomes outright unusable

  • Dehya
  • Amber
  • Xinyan
  • Chevreuse

Chevreuse is yet to find her place in the meta as she her buffs works based on Overload and not every character works with this particular reaction.

Except for her, the rest of the three suffer from a few issues and require a lot of investment to be remotely usable. You can use them for exploration if you want but you will have a hard time when it comes to defeating enemies with higher HP bars.

At the end of the day, Genshin Impact tier lists are there to inform players of which characters are worth it in the game. Your favorite units should not be affected by these lists and you can build whoever you like.
